Really good concept and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We visited outside of park hours 7:30pm and the restaurant was half full. We got seated immediately reservation is required and handed a tablet that we could order from. We spent roughly £55 including 1x starter, 2x mains, 2x cocktails, x1 dessert and 1x soft drink. We did get 10% off with our merlin annual pass silver 20% if you have a gold pass. Which helps bring the prices down. It's not the cheapest but then again for theme park pricing it wasn't too bad. I had the shredded beef burger which was amazing and my partner had the pasta which she enjoyed. Halloumi starter was spot on and the Boost Bar Brownie was great to share. We waited about 10 minutes from ordering for our food to arrive via the tracks from the kitchen. It's quite fun watching your food arrive in this style. Overall if you're staying in the hotels I would definitely recommend a visit. It's a unique experience you won't get anywhere else.
The main pull for this restaurant is the novelty factor of your food coming down on the rails. Food is ordered on a tablet, the children love this element. You select your seat number, make your selection and send it to the kitchen, then the next person has their turn. Food then comes down the rollercoaster rails with your seat number on it. It is fun to watch your food do they same as you have done all day. It somewhere you go once to say you've done it. The food is ok but not great, not very hot. The portion size are quite small for an adult. For the price there are better value offerings in the park or hotels. It can also get very noisy at time, so something to consider if there are people in your party who have trouble with loud environments.
We called I to the roller coaster restaurant bout 15.30pm at the time we started queuing it was bout 15.10pm. We waited bout 20mins for a table we went in got shown our table then a lovely lady came across and show us how to order on the tablet. We ordered our food and drinks the cokes came down on the roller coaster,  but if you order beers they get brought over to the table for you. We waited bout 15-20mins for the food. They sent the children's meals down first then bout 5mins later they sent the adults food. Yes the restaurant is expensive for the drinks and food but it's very well worth the money. Our order came over £100 but I would definitely go there again. Recommend it to everyone
Absolutely fascinating. The burger was delicious and served in the most perfect way with the hanging roller coasters straight in front of you. I absolutely loved the experience and definitely enjoyed the food. Staff were fantastic and so friendly. Highly recommended
Kids will love it the food is bit basic but the restaurant is really fun my daughter love watching the food go round the tracks. Can be very busy make sure you book also not cheap better if you a merlin pass and get discount
Bit of a queue to get in but once in you won't be disappointed. Prices are totally in line with the quality of the food, which we thought was brilliant. Amazing service, fantastic gimmick for the restaurant and they made my sons birthday extra special. Would recommend anyone to add this eating experience to their trip to Alton Towers.
First time we have visited . Food amazing , price may not suit some people , but for the quality of food well worth it. Love the way food is served and a buzzing atmosphere
This is a rollercoaster of a dining experience! The concept is great, the actual delivery is questionable. The food is ok, eating out of a bowl / tray thingy is odd, something you have on a camping trip. At one point my garlic bread got stuck on the track right up by the ceiling so a member of staff has to get a ladder to fetch it down! The tablet system used to order food is clunky and prone to user error. The atmosphere is futuristic and at times overwhelming, especially on the hour when the music and lights go crazy with big video screens of being on a rollercoaster. Overall a fun experience which I'm likely to never see again. Staff were great too. Give it a go, you might like it!!
Cool place! Little rails to every table and loops on 2 of them. Fun to watch food and bottled drinks rolling down to tables. Walls are covered in posters and art for current and old rides alike. There's even a scale model of Wicker Man too. Staff were super nice and the food was great! Loved it
The food here is very tasty, though not the most filling. The gimmick is fun but the sound is sporadically very noisy albeit great music, and partially sighted people should be aware the restaurant is quite dark. The ordering system is very confusing and counter-intuitive so leave time to figure that out, and definitely make sure to read through the whole menu as there are some things in surprising places, like a gammon steak that’s only on the gluten-free menu, and a wrap that comes under ‘burgers’. That said, the food arrived very quickly once we’d ordered.
