Have to say it was better before when it was roko since it turned into Everlast it’s got worse. The facilities are not looked after properly. Not staff fault it’s the owner who I might add is a billionaire not spending money to keep it nice for us who pay a high price for memberships.nThe staff here are nice and the food and drinks I’ve had have been nice.nShame the cafe shuts at 7 as sometimes a nice coffee after evening use would be nice. The whole place weekdays is open til 10pm but no hot drink after 7pm especially in these cold months is Not greatnThe pool is ok when you can get to use it. It’s either full of swimming lessons or aqua fit which sometimes leaves only 1 lane.nThe steam room the last few times I’ve been smells so stale others thought the same. Jacuzzi is always out of use. Showers are hit n miss. We are just not getting value for money and it’s disappointing.
Facilities are nice, sauna is great, steam room is terrible most of the time and pool is alright. For £49 I might do it again, only issue is I was on the phone with them when my contract was done. I had university after a month and a half and I was told I could pay for only that time with no recurring bill. I played email tennis with these guys after finding out I legally have to pay for another month. £49 is a lot of money for a uni student who has moved up to London but it seems they don’t really care too much and won’t do anything about it. I’m sorry to the great staff there, some were very nice, but I was promised one thing and received another and that’s not how you do business. Hopefully this next 49 can be paid for a closer gym I can actually somewhat use but for now I gotta kiss this 50 quid good bye.
I used this place for 3 months. The first month was a contract. Then they told me I had the right to cancel whenever I wanted I even paid an extra 5 pounds per month for this, for a total of 70 months. As a result, I canceled. Then they asked me for money. Even when I wasn't using it, their staff couldn't explain the rules of the company to the customers properly. They're taking it out on us. It's a completely awful situation.
This was brilliant when it was run by Roko, but now Everlast have taken over, they want me to pay £39.50 for my daughter’s swimming lessons for September and then pay that again for October upfront. Oh also, they need that AGAIN for a deposit and the worst bit of all? Knowing I’m used to paying £39.50 a month, they give me only 2 weeks warning that I’ll be giving them £120 this month if I want my daughter to continue swimming there!!!! 3 times the amount that I wasn’t expecting to pay so haven’t budgeted for it and now my daughter will fall behind until I can find another venue.nnI am appalled and disgraced by the lack of customer service. They have the cheek to want a months notice for when you quit yet only give me 2 weeks notice that I have to pay 3 times the usual amount! Disgusting I would urge parents to look elsewhere for swimming lessons so as not to end up in the scenario we’re now facing.
Lack of working facilities, poor steam room, jacuzzi always out of use. I pay £56 a month with nhs discount…looking to cancel the membership and go elsewhere
