THE BRUNCH IS A MUST Saturday and Sunday First of all get there when you are hungry- it is bottomless you get unlimited selection of starters and choose one main depending on the brunch menu you pay for. This is set for a period of time which brings me to my second point- get there on time because your clock starts to tick from time of booking. The late you are the less time you will have to reorder your unlimited starters. When your time for unlimited starters is up they will let you know that it's the last plates. Overall the starters were great, love the chicken nuggets and dumplings . Went for the £54 menu which meant 1 main- I went with Salmon but I must say I did not enjoy it. I personally it not find it well seasoned blunt. Paid an extra £20 for bottomless wine/prosecco so come thirsty. In addition, received glass of bellini on arrival. Desert was well presented platter. I was too full by then but lovely selection. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FOR GIRLS BRUNCH. Parking: It's central London. Better off with public transport. 10mins walk from Holborn station and not too far from Temple
I loved about the food, presentation at ROKA. The staff were attentive and helpful. The food were delicious and the portions were great. We had a lovely time. The presentation of the bowl of rice can be improved. With rice all around the outside of the bowl, not neat & tidy enough
Roka Aldwych offers an exceptional brunch experience that is both luxurious and satisfying. From the moment you step into the stylish and contemporary space, the ambiance sets the tone for a delightful meal. The décor is sleek, with a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely weekend brunch. The brunch menu is a delightful mix of traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern twist. The variety of dishes ensures that there is something for everyone. We started with a selection of sushi and sashimi that were incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. The flavors were delicate yet pronounced, a testament to the high-quality ingredients used. The service at Roka Aldwych was very good The staff were attentive, knowledgeable. In addition to the food, the brunch includes a selection of free-flowing beverages. Overall, Roka Aldwych provides a brunch experience that is both indulgent and memorable. The combination of exquisite food, elegant ambiance, and outstanding service makes it a top choice for anyone looking to enjoy a high-end brunch in London.
Service was very slow. Waited a pretty long time for the starters. Beef fillet disappointingly underseasoned. Black cod was good. The worst thing were the desserts. Tried the seasonal raspberry dessert and the chocolate & green tea pudding - both so horrible they ruined a perfectly average meal. The chocolate pudding was super dry - the flavour combination was really weird - chocolate, matcha & pear sorbet! Won’t be coming here again. Too expensive for what it is.
DIVINE food ! The crispiest of crispy Prawn Tempura, the crunchiest of crunchy crab, the dropping-off- the bone ribs... sigh... A matcha / chocolate / pear dessert like magic on the palate. Don't pretend to "know" Sake v well but we were all perfectly happy with the standard offering. Only 3* for atmosphere because it was a bit smoky with a fishy smell when we first walked in - could do with better ventilation. But overall, really, really, REALLY good. :-
I had the £71.50 bottomless brunch which included unlimited small plate one main, sharing desert platter and free flowing fizz, rose or wine. Overall the food was well presented and tasty. I’d suggest you start with a selection of all the small pales than pick what you want more of after a.Food: 4/5
Wow this place is great. I’d love to revisit with friends and family, for them to be ‘wowed’ too. We had a 10 person round table perfect for a special occasion. The seasonal set menu couldn’t have tasted better. Incredible flavours in both the fish and vegetarian dishes. There was more food than anyone could finish, which we felt guilty it going to waste.
Enjoyed the yellowtail and the miso aubergine, felt the wagyu beef tasted a bit odd. It’s good food overall but nothing too special/ bit on the mediocre side for its price.Food: 4/5
I booked this for my husbands birthday in November. We had the bottomless brunch which was truly bottomless in every aspect! You get unlimited starters, 1 main each and 1 dessert tray to share. We were SO full and satisfied with the starters that we could barely touch our mains! The food came out fresh and quick but SO delicious! The service was AMAZING! Staff are so friendly and professional. We were over an hour late due to London protests and they kindly moved out timing without any problem! I will definitely be going back here
