What can I say? Amazing food and service. We had the 11 course tasting menu, with the matching wine tasting, every plate was fantastic with fresh flavours and lots of creativity. One of my best plates was the cheese ice cream with mushrooms and cranberry, doesn’t sound likeable, but that’s the difference in coming to a restaurant like this, great matching wines especially with the desserts. Decor was great inside and had a window seat. Staff were attentive at every level and had a nice gift bag at the end with a slice of cake. 5 stars
Excellent restaurant, small and welcoming. Super nice staff, smiling and professional. The food is amazing, all organic and natural, and produced in UK. The dishes look wonderful, and I really loved the colours and materials used for the plates. Definitely a place to try, and considering that has 1 Michelin star, it's not even expensive. Have a go at it!
[Jan-2018] Fantastically impressive dinner. Cooking was precise and technical, but yet manage to keep the soul of the dish. Some surprises in taste. Over all a beautiful dinner. [Update Jul-2018] Went back in July and was impressed that the entire menu had changed! Not one repeat dish -- with a menu of 14-ish dishes! Once again it was an amazingly fun meal. Starting with the menu in a sealed envelope -- resist the urge to open. Just enjoy the flow. The dishes were tasty and fun. Clean taste, precise execution. Pear and elderflower -- who would have thought. Plum and duck hearts -- wonderful! Tomato and sea trout - super clean, super technical cooking ... so amazing.
A great place for a special occasion. The tasting menu kept us exited and surprised from start to finish, and I enjoyed all 12 courses immensely. Without going into detail, every dish had a special twist on a familiar taste and the cooking was immaculate. The accompanying wines were a good match, although none of them was particularly exciting or memorable. The restaurant itself is small enough to be intimate and the staff was extremely welcoming, and I felt very well looked after during the whole evening, without it being over the top.
Non pretentious restaurant. The food is amazing and the staff was friendly. She explained the pairing well. All taste fresh. Lunch menu was affordable. Definitely come again. Refreshing !
Went for the lunch and was very impressed. Excellent pacing and great tasting food make this an easy one to recommend. Simon was there and even took the time to bring our food and explain the dish himself for an added bonus. The food is French in style but the flavours are bold and the ingredients ultimately British. It tied together quite nicely. The staff were very attentive as well, which is always great to see. Worth a revisit!
We had an incredible experience at Roganic. We decided to go for the tasting menu with pairing wines. The pictures speak for themselves, the food was very well presented, the flavours were intense and unique, the wines perfectly matched each course and the service was excellent!
I would describe the tasting menu as very neat, clean and sharp - everything was very tasty, with a feeling of not eating almost calories! Food was tasty, right portions for a tasting menu, very well presented and explained. Overall a great experience!
Casual and relaxed atmosphere for a fine dining but I liked that although sometimes is a bit noisy. Simon Rogan's recent London outpost is about fresh ingredients and using plenty of techniques including pickling and curing in a brilliant way with an outcome of mouthwatering dishes apart from one dish. Much of the produce, comes from their farm in Cartmel. Service was professional but a bit formal for casual ambiance
Absolutely fantastic food and incredible value for money. Considering the level of cooking. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in London for food. We had the full 10 course menu which will leave you pretty full couldn't quite manage the cheese course. The menu changes seasonally but some things are consistent such as the bread. Highlights were the trout roe and seaweed custard, mushroom and fried egg yolk and the dry aged beef. We shared a wine pairing which was equally brilliant. Sharing not recommended if you're feeling very thirsty but if you want to try everything without leaving a bit tipsy then a good plan.
