Tucked away and confusing to find, this leisure centre is functional. If you want a squash court, badminton court or general sports hall like you'd get in any secondary school, this is it. They have a bouncy castle and play equipment for children's parties in the hall, and a "cafe" area for the food. It doesn't do food generally though. There's a very small gym which is pleasantly empty a lot of the time. There's free parking, and a bus stop outside the main gate. There's theoretical disabled access but it is locked so you'd need to ring to ask to be let up, reception is on the first floor.
Again a nice leisure centre all be it a little hard to find. We had activities here organised by chilli sauce.co.uk
Friendly staff. Accessible. Fun activities for toddlers. Quiet gym area. Clean facilities and they offer birthday party activities to book.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Would say it looks like it's a bit run down and out dated but the football courts were kept to a good standard. Couldn't help us with cans at the end of the day but not sure that's their job, would have been nice.
Played Badminton here. Funny little car park which was poorly lit on these dark winter evenings... Odd little entrance down the side of what feels like a small work yard... However, the Leisure Centre itself is well kept and the sports hall made the perfect badminton venue. Watch out for the extra admission costs if you book online.
Had my sons 8th Birthday party here yesterday. Great set up for a kids party. Thank you to Ben and Lewis, they couldn't have been anymore helpful! Will defiantly recommend to friends and family in the future.
Kids liked the all weather pitch albeit a little small. Miles away from the parking and with a lot of steep steps.
Broken lift, no intention of repairing it! Zero wheelchair Access and very poor attitude; even the surrounding area is inaccessible to wheelchair users! Very poor training and facilities - AVOID!
Decent prices especially off peak, you can pay as you go or have a monthly subscription. Variety of classes or you can use a gym upstairs that has different machines treadmill, rowing, bikes and a few bodybuilding ones. There is a selection of free weights, bench press, Swiss machine etc.
Great sports centre. Plenty of parking and activities even a karate club which looks pretty good called seishen karate.
