Fantastic stay first time we've been will definitely go back again. Room was beautiful ly decorated, the evening meal was amazing the ambiance was great food was delicious. Slept really well bed was so comfortable and to finish off our stay we had a lovely hearty full English breakfast. Staff were great and very attentive. Five stars all the way well done rock salt 😀

I've lived in Folkestone for a few years but only just managed to visit Rocksalt. The food is excellent, the staff are accommodating and knowledgeable, the view across the harbour is lovely. What more can you want? There's a bar upstairs for a pre-meal tipple. The wine list is quite extensive, and the staff can recommend a good pairing. Leave room for dessert if you can. Expect to pay £70-80 a head for 3 courses with drinks.

The restaurant and bar food is absolutely 5 star. Also the service from staff is unquestionable. Very accommodating. The down side us the rooms. Too small and away from the restaurant (literally). No phone for reception in the bedroom, no microwave to warm food or minibar. Room is quite quite cold in e winter and needs sound proofing from the blustery winds outside. One final consolation is the lovely basket of continental breakfast left outside the room in the mornings. Fixing the above concerns would make this place a 100% getaway any time of the year! Still a lovely establiment!

Rocksalt is a great restaurant that offers a good menu and an extensive choice of wines. I was there with friends for a lazy 2 hour lunch and left very satisfied. It is a restaurant that appears to attract the well dressed. I felt decidedly shabby in jeans, not that anyone seemed to notice. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend booking a table. The restaurant was busy when I visited and we only got a table because it was a warm day and many diners chose to eat outdoors. The view of the harbour from the dining room is stunning.

A fantastic family meal for two birthday girls. Food service and location was excellent especially as the weather conditions had led to so many cancelled tables that we ended the evening as the only party. Francesca and her colleagues made us feel so welcome that we will be sure to return on our next family gathering. Winter menu delicious and catered for our 1 year old wonderfully.
