Just spent three fantastic nights on this Camp Site in South Yorkshire Barnsley,the area is outstanding and beautiful,facilities brilliant and well kept.Barnsley town centre has recently gone through some regeneration and it is a lovely and clean and fantastic town centre.
Super well kept relaxing site. Great pitches with lots of room. Great area for walking and exercising the dog.
A little gem of a site. We stayed for three nights whilst visiting family. The facilities were immaculately clean and the whole site was well looked after. A quiet site, quite picturesque with lots of bird song. Robert is a friendly and helpful chap and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this site and we will stay here again when we are next back in the area. Michael & Shirley Johnson stayed 25th to 27th April 2024.
Lovely quiet site that's mainly seasonal caravaners ,very clean shower block with at last a decent shower room with ample space to put your clothes etc ,perfect for the dog walker like me ,just a 20min walk through the site and over some fields to stainsborough castle and Wentworth gardens ,very friendly people that own it very helpful, level pitches ample to fit caravan, car and awning on
I have Called several times and no awnser. So I drove down to the park and asked over the intercom if they did long stays as we full time in our motorhome. The reply was no which we understand so I then went on to ask about doing two days here and there and he happily told me the price and was also told if we want to try and book on then we need to message. I messaged to try and book our family on and I got a reply stating that they have ‘building works going on so they are not open’. It seemed pretty unusual as when I went down to try and get the correct phone number as the one on the internet was wrong I had come across people staying on the site. Me and my family aren’t happy with the way we was treated and there’s only one reason we believe we was not welcome. This may be a good site if you are welcome but this is our experience before getting through the gates.
We would recommend this lovely campsite if you're looking for a quiet place to stay toilet and shower are nice and clean if we come back this way we will stay again
