Great chip shop!! Such friendly service, they let our wee boy sample some ice creams while we waited and were giving out other samples of home made tartar sauce. The chips were proper cut chips, not frozen and the onion rings etc were also made from scratch! Lots of options on the menu from locally sourced produce. Has a takeaway and a sit in area.

My haddock fish supper was one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish was fresh, sourced locally and made to order. The batter was unique: very crispy and thin. The chips were also fantastic: hand cut, crispy and fluffy on the inside. Best thing was that everything was piping hot and freshly made to order. Top marks to this new business who clearly have a focus on quality. Will be back

Haddock supper amazingly tasty and melt in your mouth batter. Lovely service too.

Chips dry and tasteless, at least the ones that were edible were. Others were dark brown and not suitable for consumption. Fish was decent size but very soggy batter. Heard many bad reviews of the place but decided to give it an honest go - won't make that mistake again. Ashvale will be getting my business back that's for sure.
