Rooms like premier inn rooms. All rooms have views of the Harbour with plenty of boats to see, including lots of lifeboats. Also, some amazing sunsets. Nice restaurant with great viwes. Food is good, especially breakfast and fairly priced. Can get a bit busy if you like your breakfast later in the morning as restaurant is used by guests, staff and lifeboat crew. Nice bar, again with great views. As somewhere to stay for a couple of days,The RNLI is well worth a try. You shouldn't be disappointed.
A very nice waterfront hotel in a good location. The staff is very friendly and the car park is free. The room is clean. The facility is interesting and nicely decorated in a boat theme as it is also a training centre for Lifeboat volunteers. Overall, we have had a good experience at RNLI
Absolutely faultless stay at this wonderful establishment. Room standard was amazing. Staff were polite and helpful. breakfast was perfect.nnAn all round perfect stay - highly recommend.
Staying at the RNLI college offers a different experience than staying at a hotel. However, at £160 a night, it is steep for what you get.nnCheck-in is at 3pm, which is much later than standard. Expecting you to check-out at 11am is quite cheeky. We did ask for a late check-out, but we were refused. The breakfast buffet was basic, and not particularly special. We asked for recommendations on where to eat at the reception, but the receptionist was not able to offer any local insight.nnOn the plus side, the location is quiet and offers a beautiful view of a nature reserve.nnIn conclusion, it is overpriced for what it is as it is not a typical hotel with hotel facilities.
Bit pricey, but rooms are classy, view of inner harbour, parking/breakfast included in room rate.nThe RNLI do seem to waste a lot of energy in my view.nStaff are friendly and everything is ship shape.
