Story

Rivo Lounge is split over two floors and can seat one hundred and eighty guests. The huge upstairs area makes for perfect open-plan dining, as well as having a comfy chill-out area right next to the windows so you can watch the world go by. Mind you, with walls filled with art deco mirrors, portraits and other delights you’ll probably be more interested in what’s inside!

"Rivo Lounge is in great spot in Chippenham, just by the Town Bridge and riverside walk in the centre of town. We’ve a little outdoor terrace and lovely big full width windows that open right out along the front, so we’re the perfect place for people watching. We serve a fantastic range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus in a really relaxed, welcoming, light and airy space stretching across two floors. All this, and our gorgeous moustachioed lady painting too. What more do you need in a friendly neighbourhood café bar?"

Friendly staff, great menu and food was delicious with generous portions. You order via a QR code which was easy to do. However, they forgot our drink but we're super apologetic, so refunded the cost of the drink, no quibble. Really impressed: we will be back!
On a random trip into Wiltshire we needed somewhere to chill and have some breakfast and liked the look of here so we popped in and we're glad we did. There's loads of seating both downstairs and upstairs, the staff are all great and the decor is relaxed. We each got a full English and was even allowed to swap out any items we didn't want. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect portion. I'd definitely come back. Oh they do a superb Punk IPA on draught too!

****Update 3 months later***** Thought we’d try it again and see if it got any better. Result: dropped my review to 1 star. Food came on time but was over cooked and dry. Currently sat on minute 46 after ordering a drink on the app. Place is still short on staff, they all look knackered and run ragged. Original review: Used to come here fairly regularly for food and drinks but after the third in a row visit with terrible service im gonna swerve it from now on. Shame given the location and potential. Food: Always bits missing that you have to ask about/chase up. It's over cooked and near enough always takes an hour to come. App: ordered food and drinks to upstairs, food took an hour to come and the drinks arrived after the food. Enquired several times but get some excuse about desperate tills and no customer service ownership. Can't moan about the drinks, good selection Price: this is where Rivo Lounge comes unstuck. The price is up there for the area. The menu and drinks selection typically used to allow it but now it's like you're paying over the odds for terrible service. This place needs more staff.
Great athmospehere and service only thing is food service is a little long. It's worth to maybe let the client know how long is the waiting time for food when they come in. But overall they have a great food especially breakfastFood: 5/5
Had a fantastic lunch the day after Boxing Day, the staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a longer than usual delay for food, but staff made sure we were aware as we walked in, before we even sat down let alone ordered. Atmosphere is amazing, great place for food or drinks.Food: 5/5
Food was good and staff were friendly. They really need to sort their service out though - we waited a really long time for our food then had to wait ages for them to bring our cutlery. They mixed up a vegan order then didn't tell the kitchen to make a replacement so we had to chase it up again. It took far too long. It's a shame as the staff were nice, atmosphere was good and so was the food.
I had a birthday celebration there a few days ago and had such a great time. The staff were extremely friendly and polite, the food is excellent and the Manager is running a very organised team with exceptional customer service. Can't recommend Rivo Lounge enough. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for making my birthday meal an enjoyable evening.

Found this lovely little place whilst walking around in Chippenham. Warmly greeted, asked about any allergies and asked to seat ourselves on any available table. Menu is very enticing. Close a couple of dishes; chicken, bacon & avocado burger with fries and panini with a pint and a pot of tea. Had to order at the bar. Tea and food brought to the table by a lovely gentleman who asked if we needed anything else. Food was hot and freshly cooked. Just lovely. Only gripe was the beer prices were rather expensive. £5.70 for Punk IPA. London prices or is that about right? Other than that, this place is a winner.
