Full English plus mushrooms. Excellent, good quality sausage, thick cut smokey bacon, fried egg, tomato and beans. Really enjoyed it and washed down with a pot of tea. Happily recommend, but suggest you book a table at busy times.
Absolutely incredible tucked away tea toom. Beautiful food. Liz who ran the tea room was most helpful, super kind and nothing was too much effort. 100% reccomend for afternoon tea or a cosy lunch after a cold walk!! Definitely be going back.
Had a lovely afternoon tea with work colleagues. Friendly staff and good service. Great location opposite the river too. Would definitely recommend.
A beautiful tea room, in a charming location. Unfortunately, on the day we visited it, after being seated we spent the first twenty minutes being ignored and not sure whether we’d accidentally turned invisible, as we watched the staff deliver the wrong food to the wrong table, ignore other tables which left without being offered a drink and overheard complaints. The perplexed young staff, all wandering about in confusion, gave it the vibe of a Disney movie in which a sudden tragedy bequeaths a cafe business to a group of youngsters at short notice and with hilarious results. From their harassed expressions, it looked as if they had all undergone some sort of ritualistic spinning by the shoulders on their feet for several minutes before starting work, finally being released to stagger dizzily about in front of the customers. Our fellow diners also apparently waiting without being served or without being served correctly were muttering and frowning like theatre goers who had paid for Shakespeare but realised they were watching modern dance. We waited 25 minutes before being offered a drink. The food was excellent when it arrived. But my puppy was an adult dog by the time we had been served it.
I never went in... my wife did. I stood outside and waited for her. We had been on a long country walk talking about lord knows what.... and she said "did I want a tea?", so I said "yes", so she went in a ordered 2 teas. I gave this place 5 stars, but I have no idea how good it is. The tea was fantastic, but to be honest, anyone can make tea my teenage son can make tea and he is braindead. So maybe go and check it out for yourself?
Lovely tea room with friendly staff and good service. We went there on a Friday afternoon and it was fairly busy and based on my positive experience I can understand why it's popular. We ordered a few sandwiches, scones and coffee and it all tasted really good. The food presentation was equally as nice. Worth noting is that there is a toilet on premise which even caters as a baby change room. Kid-friendliness: Took my two little ones who can be noisy but at no point did we feel they were being a nuisance. There is also a baby change room within the establishment.
Lovely tea room, with very cute decor - I really liked the cherry blossoms branches. Service was good - and despite the sign warning it can be slow - it was fairly quick. We really liked the bacon sandwich. Simple yet delicious. I wanted a croissant but settled for a cookie and it was also very good.
By far one of the best afternoon teas we’ve had. There’s nothing bad to say about the food - all made fresh, lovely staff. The only thing that would have been nice is to have someone come over and see if everything was ok ect - but it’s not even a complaint because they were all busy doing other things and it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Amazing place, if you get the opportunity you should go - photos are out afternoon tea - we had the full vintage afternoon tea. Amazing
It's a shame that I'm not leaving 5 stars as it could so easily be the perfect tea rooms / cafe. Firstly I'm knocking 1 star off because at 12.00 there were so many items off the menu. Most of the vegetarian options were off but how can you have no Baguettes? Surely if there had been no delivery then, for such a basic item, one of the staff could pop along to a supermarket. Secondly I'm knocking off a star because the acoustics were such that, despite it not being very busy, you couldn't conduct a normal conversation at the table. You could fix this quite easily with some strategically placed soft furnishings and acoustic panels. At the moment it's really quite unpleasant. Having said that the food we were able to order was "good". The only minor issue was that three of us ordered various forms of eggs benedict and all of the eggs were over-cooked. Not sure I'll be back, which is a shame as with a bit more effort it could be a fantastic place.
Really cute little place in a lovely location in the most picturesque spot in Eynsford. I had a cappuccino and a lovely piece of banana cake. Nice atmosphere as a little birthday gathering for an 80 year old lady was taking place.Food: 4/5
