Returned to the Riverside last Friday to attend Boscastle shanty festival. Received a warm welcome and quickly checked in and found room. Delighted to find that it had been very recently decorated. As before we were asked to pre order breakfast which is easy to do on the way out with plenty of choice. It was lovely to hear the sound of the river and ducks when we opened the window. Each morning breakfast was served promptly and was delicious. We are looking forward to returning in the spring for another short break. Many thanks to Sasha and the rest of the team who were all lovely. Wishing everyone there a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2023. Parking: Although there is no parking at the Riverside the main car park is a short walk away and reasonably priced.
Great afternoon tea and scones enjoyed by my wife and myself and daughter my other daughter had a cheese and Branston sandwich which we could not fault. Staff were amazing and very helpful. The setting was just perfect set outside with the stream running close by you could not ask for a idyllic setting,well recommended
A little gem in Cornwall. Lovely staff and great food. That's before we even start talking about the location. Kids loved the chance to feed the ducks while the wife and I enjoyed the quirky little restaurant and great food! Kid-friendliness: Colouring for kids and a chance to feed the ducks over the bridge! Also a set of staff who are very understanding when one of Ur kids has a breakdown like mine did!
What a great meal we had and they even went above and beyond and allowed us to take the dogs in too as was off season. Staff really friendly especially Diane . We will be back soon Parking: Lots of parking just up the road
We have our best meal of Cornwall at this restaurant. We were 9 friends!!! And they were super kind and good was fresh and very tasty. I would highly recommend to eat here. Thank you!
Beautiful place, service and food were amazing. I can definitely reccomend the cream tea and home made pie of the day. Have already reccomended to friends.Food: 5/5
Very bland food ,sory but could of made better myself .had 4 different meals..made from same base stew just added little extra but not much.paid bill as soon as I could...sorry but wouldn't returnFood: 1/5
Sunday carvery for 5 of us. We were all disappointed with the meat 'ration' that we had. Beef was well done so not cooked to our liking. Vegetables were good. Staff were lovely.Food: 3/5
I have slept and dined at The Riverside on many occasions. It’s my go to when I’m working in Cornwall. Great food, clean cosy rooms and I always sleep with the window open to listen to the river. Very accommodating staff too
We had a deal. food and accommodation. Staff are brilliant. chefs food great with freshly caught fish. Enjoy the whole weekend thank you.Food: 5/5
