Freshly prepared while you wait and always the best quality. Staff are friendly and choice is good. I particularly like the kebabs and chips are hot, crisp, and fluffy inside.

Riverside fish bar, I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience from this chip shop of all the times I have had a meal from there. Food has always been very enjoyable and tasty, they do a good variety of foods even for vegetarians. There willing too lightly batter fish etc if asked. Staff have always been very polite and cheerful on all occasions when visited by myself and friends. Your doing a great job guys!!

Normally chips are nice but today they were greasy. When we got back we noticed that a curry sauce was missing so phoned and was told I can collect one next time I was in. I was happy with this so carried on putting food on plate however I noticed a long blond hair with brown roots. I immediately phoned the chip shop and was told that as they have never hadn’t this complain before they find it Likely to not be there’s! I explained that my hair is brown and so is my whole family but I still was not believed. I took the chips back and hair and noticed it looked like the girls hair who served us. The staff still told me it was not their hair even though I showed her I have dark hair! I got told by the person who served me that I had a refund for the chips (even though it put us of the whole meal we only got refunded for the chips) so I should be happy and her hair is mid length not long. Totally didn’t take any responsibility I won’t be going to this shop again!!

Went there today and put it in the bin when i tasted it .. Rock hard dry chips and rock hard dry sausage , been a few times now and the same won't go there again total waist of my money

Drove 12 miles to visit this place, on a recommendation today for lunch. My wife and I arrived at 1.40pm. Then I had to go to the ATM because they don't take cards! On my return at 1.45pm was told they only had one cooked fish in the shop and they were not prepared to cook anymore as they close at 2pm. My options were to have a fish cake or whatever else had been hanging around since the last time they could actually be bothered to cook anything but as it all looked pretty unappetising and the woman behind the counter was of the 'take it or leave it' school of customer service, I decided to leave it and tell the whole world via the Internet! Recommendations: Dont advertise you close at 2pm when you obviously give up long before that, don't be rude to prospective customers, they pay your wages, learn that people don't want to be fobbed off with whatever leftovers you want to sell, they want fresh food that they choose for themselves. Also, get into the 21st century with a card machine, assuming your credit history allows for it, even market traders and taxi drivers have them these days and if, after all that, you still can't supply what the customer wants, at the very least smile and apologise don't behave like you couldn't care less and it's their fault for wanting to give you money!
