The caravan park is a very nice location and the view from the club house is also very nice, however they have stopped the very tasty lava stone stake, the restaurant isn’t as good as it used to be. There is a bowls club house which provides cheap and nice bear also other drinks too. They have entertainment on some nights. The showers and toilets are clean. Would recommend coming here! Safety: You could fall into the river, but there are gates.
Lovely caravan site next to the river Avon they have a river taxi that takes you into Stratford town. Caravan we hire is nearly new, the park is spotless and neat, grass is kept short and all edges are trimmed beautifully. The Venue is a restaurant and bar very good food just a tad expensive for some items on the menu . Would recommend this place to anyone and we will come back. Unfortunately the caravan has no user instructions for washing machine, microwave, heating it was total guess work to get them to work
Monday to Friday short break here and probably the best site we've stayed at for a long time. The bar overlooking the river is brilliant with the giant outdoor TV, fantastic for watching the sport especially the football. I would like to think we will return in the not too distant future.Rooms: 5/5
We just returned from a 3 night break in our motorhome. We were a party of 4 vans, one of which didn't know the other 3 were coming. It was a surprise for his 60th birthday, not only that 1 of the others had booked the wrong week! The staff were absolutely amazing! They shuffled things round making room for that couple to stay, they kept the whole thing a secret from the birthday boy. Just great staff all caravan parks should have staff like these. The park itself is amazing, very clean facilities. Bar and restaurant overlooking the River are beautiful. River taxi that takes you into Stratford upon Avon. Would highly recommend.
We only stopped for a night and we spent all of our time in Stratford upon Avon. Staff were great, very friendly and the site was clean and well managed. Sadly a lot of the pitches were water logged due to the ridiculous amount of rain we've had so far this year, we had feared that our camper would need a tow however thanks to the excellent advice from site staff we were able to leave without drama. Site is a perfect location for the town and only a half hour walk along a street of amazing houses. There is usually a river taxi but due to the flood height it wasn't running, the bridge arches would give a nasty headache.
Terrible Experience - Do Not Recommend We drove over 3 hours to get to this place, only to stay for 3 hours before driving another 3 hours back home. We tried to contact their so-called out-of-hours number, but no one answered. With multiple issues to discuss, including no heating and no hot water, we decided we couldn't stay there and left. The next day, when we finally reached someone during business hours, we were told to email our complaint. I did, only to be informed that the number provided on the voicemail was incorrect which we had no way of knowing. Apparently, the correct number was in the welcome pack letter. We checked in at 4:50 PM, called with issues at 5:15 PM, and were given the wrong number right away. We didn't even have time to read the welcome pack before calling. Given that we had an 8-year-old with us, we determined it was not suitable to stay and decided to drive back home. To add insult to injury, when we received a response to our complaint, it was not the full refund we expected, but only a 20% refund along with a thank you for pointing out the incorrect emergency number on their answerphone. We are raising a formal complaint with Hoseasons and have initiated a chargeback with our bank. For your reference, here is a list of the issues we encountered in our short time there: - Poor facilities in the lodge - Old, uncomfortable beds that even an 8-year-old found uncomfortable - No hot water or heating which, while not crucial in June, is unacceptable considering the weather we are having - Dirty conditions, with feces all over the decking and windows, spiderwebs everywhere, and dirt in every corner of the decking too .
Central location, just a few minutes drive to central town. There was a reasonable price river taxi , which was a great way of leaving the car, listening to the stories of the houses along the riverbank. The site had a laundry unit, and a large club/our house. We stayed in a caravan for 7 nights, we felt very comfortable. Nearby activities: Stratford upon Avon is 5 mins drive from site. So many great houses to see, best to buy joint tickets for best value. We also had the Stratford walking tour, a great two hour gentle walk round the town, with stories, and the origin of many sayings from there. Definitely visit Shakespeare school. We went to the Swann theatre, a great experience. Just a 1 mile walk to Ann Hathaway 's house, wife of William very interesting too we visited the Hatton locks, fascinating watching the process boats travelling up and down the river. Charlecote House was a definitely golden find, great house to visit. Lastly we went to the British motor museum in Gaydon. It was excellent. And tour guides there were brilliant.
Very clean and well run site. Perfect for a visit to Stratford. River taxi is fun. Runs approx 9am to 5pm every half hour.Location: 5/5
Some 125 ? touring pitches and 7 toilets for the gents…. A lot of english guests in Spain would be scandalized if such a site would be equipped with less than the double capacity, for a lower price, cleaned twice a day!!
Great pitch for the motorhome.Site staff really helpful. Everything works, plenty of facilities and Spanish weather to boot! Highly recommend.Service: 5/5
