Riverside Caravan Centre, a family run business, has been providing happy holidays for over fifty years. Set in 42 acres of grassland with tree lined roads, this long established family owned park sits on the edge of the popular seaside town of Bognor Regis. The ideal base for a relaxing and fun-filled family holiday where you can unwind and take life easy. The children have many fun things to do and can play and let off steam in safety.

Nice quiet site.  Near to shops. great entertainment. pool lovely and warm even the outside one.  Delicious food available.  And we liked it so much we brought a caravan down here.

Right, where to start...

Booked up a mid-week break at Riverside, for years normally going to Bunn Leisure in Selsey we thought we might have a change and if any good book up for 2 weeks in the summer.

Well.. a change it certainly was! we booked in on the Monday and went to see the caravan. once we got to the caravan through the waterlogged grass surrounding it, It was disgusting, Green and looked about 50 years old. We went in for a look around, and found dead flies all over the caravan, woodlice in the bedrooms, Black mold on the curtains and under the sofas. If that wasnt enough, the front door did not lock properly, the shower didnt work it dribbled, both bathroom and toilet doors did not lock, Damp spots on ceilings, filthy plates and cutlery, old cooker not working properly.

Despite this we decided to stay as we didnt want to have a long drive home after just getting here. The site is sandwiched in between 2 main roads (one being a dual carriageway) and a tesco extra. We went up to the arcades that are on the site at around 8pm, they were closed.. despite saying they are open until 10.30pm. 

During the night we could hear the road noise alot more than during the day and the caravan did not heat up, having one gas fire in the living room and none in the bedrooms we went to sleep fully clothed with extra blankets.. still cold! with my mum having a chest infection this was not good.

In the morning my dad went up to the site office to resolve this issue and explained his wife has a chest infection and the caravan is freezing, he told my dad that if he wanted to hire out heaters he could at an extra charge. When my dad explained to him thats its not acceptable to stay there with the mold, dead insects, woodlice and doors that dont lock the man said to my dad 'Well it is a sun holiday, what do you expect?' (The sun paper) but my dad then said we had not booked through the sun and we paid full price going through hoseseasons to book. All the man said is if you are not happy, pay and upgrade.

So now after one cold night, no entertainment on and mud drenched trainers we decided to go for a spot of shopping. Well thats about all you can do here, it was like being in the middle of a retail outlet or shopping park, then we went into town to see whats there. so once we shopped we went back to the site to see what we could do, the key fob was not working on the scanner that was wobbling and was not secure, so we rang the bell and the security said he wasnt going to let us on without a fob, after 10 minutes of arguing we have the fob its just not working we got in and went back to the caravan. We went up to the arcades next, this time they were open. My 2 year old son changed up his fiver and we went on some things. The toy grabbing machine took my sons 2pound coin and swallowed it. there were no staff around and the kiosk was shut, after hunting around we couldnt find anyone and the club was shut. so me and my partner tried the pool machine and it gave us every ball except the black. and then we tried a car racing machine and the pound got stuck, with no staff around we didnt hang about being ripped off so went back. 

We wanted to go home but no one wanted to drive as it was getting late and we was all tired so we put up with another cold night and in the morning gave the keys straight back, swallowing on the other nights we had paid for, the man in the office asked why we was handing them in early, we explained again and he shrugged and said fair enough, no apology, nothing. and now im writing this review from my nice warm house and it feels better than anything to be away from that horrible caravan site.

 THE SITE:
- outdated, ancient caravans
- everything closed
- waterlogged grounds
- no maintenance, rubbish and scrap dumped
- pool is green and dirty
- Rude staff and security
- no parking facility's close to caravans

Pretty surroundings in Park. In a very busy built up area. Lots of shopping opportunities!
Lovely pools and good entertainment areas.
Very child friendly.

Hell hole. The small heater was barelyworking and the staff said to turn on hob and open oven for more heat. Went with two 3 year olds so wasn't good advice.

We all had a nice time but for the rain but the caravan was lovely i would go again but this time in the summer
