I have been a patient for this Surgery since a long time. I have always been looked after very well. Of course, there is the one GP I don't think too much off but all the other Doctors and staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
My grievance is about the administration of this surgery. There is also a receptionist that gate keeps access to the GP. After agreeing they would keep me on while I was temporarily out of area to avoid further complications with my health, when I complained in A&E they had denied my repeated meds, neglected my care and medication, they promptly kicked me off their register citing I was out of area. That is the reason they gave me for kicking me out and saying that is why they can’t provide me with sufficient care. I was left unmedicated and without a GP so could not even obtain a prescription. The letters informing me came late. I hope the relatives of the employees of this practice are spared this sort of treatment as it is inhumane. I would not wish it on anyone. Glad to be gone. Nurses were ALWAYS fantastic though which is why it’s not one star.
Use to be a great practice can never get an appointment. Receptionists are very rude!! Especially one who needs to pipe down think this certain staff member needs to go on a training course in how to talk to people!
Do not register at all at this doctors, and do not give this surgery the time of day! Because there all a bunch of plonkers. You can’t even get a call back from the doctor even though your registered there. It’s absolutely disgusting. They just like the job title and the money these doctors do…they don’t give a monkeys about human beings. it’s just about the job title they want to think they are something special! And the receptionist don’t know what the hell they are doing they are too full of themselves.
These receptionists are not medically trained. Trying to get an appointment is like trying to plait fog. This practice gone downhill since doctors Moulds and Hassan left
I made an appointment today on telephone but it was cut off my own fault. The receptionist Debbie only had my first name and the end of my mobile number and she went out of her way to try and find me on the system even though she only had very little information. This is above and beyond, I work as a practice nurse myself and I know how tough it can be to be a receptionist. She was so lovely and she should be recognised for going that extra mile! Thank you.
Many thanks to all the staff at the surgery. My experience was above and beyond. After being referred to the practice for urgent attention. I called at reception with a letter from Boots opticians. I was told that they would act as soon as possible. Within the hour I received a call with an appointment for the next morning. After attending the most efficient practice nurse, I was given a prescription for medication and follow up information. All this in less than 18 hrs after my initial routine opticians visit. Well done our NHS.
Physically went in last Thursday to request a repeat prescription as I was running out of tablets before the date that I could request more due to a dosage increase by my consultant at qmc. Tried to call twice this morning just to get next in the call queue and an automated message saying my call cannot be connected. Ended up walking round to find out my original request was never put through. I’ve now had to re-request, being told it should be sorted by this evening. Absolutely not good enough
I appreciate the pressures GP surgeries are under at the moment but other surgeries seem to cope a lot better than this one. This used to be a good practice but not anymore. The worst thing I find is the reception team, they are often cold, unwelcoming and rude. It is virtually impossible to get an appointment, no matter how poorly you are. I rang regarding a very sick toddler and the receptionist said there were no appointments left and that they were closed this afternoon. I do not understand how they can make that decision on whether someone gets seen and certain things should take priority. Therefore, I find their priorities wrong and they just say ring back tomorrow even though a concerned mother with a sick child could be very serious. The pressures front line staff are under are only being made worse by the fact you can't get a 10 minute phonecall with a GP as patients resort to other services to get seen and they always seem to at least acknowledge and try and sort your problem no matter what pressures they are under. I would not recommend this practice.
Very unprofessional staff. Doctors are not able to give a diagnostic. All they do is to send you the hospital. Unbelievable.
