A lovely quaint area of canals and canal paths that run uninterrupted to Godalming. Managed by the National Trust, it has incredible opportunities for walking and cycling. There's free car parking for up to 5 hours.

A really beautiful walk along the canal and River Wey, so quiet and peaceful, with very few walkers there, even on a lovely, sunny Sunday afternoon. Lots of wildlife to be seen, including swans, geese and ducks. Also an interesting little National Trust  museum at the Thames lock, explaining why and how the navigation was built. We were also able to watch one of the locks operating to allow a narrow boat upstream - it was a surprisingly quick and easy process.

We went along the Wey from Shepperton to Brooklands, where we had a picnic. We went by canoe and kayaks.nThe river needs clearing of fallen trees. If it is not navigable by powered craft, then rivers seem to be neglected in many places.nnIt was a very pleasant trip and I recommend it.

Refreshing outdoor walk by the canal. Simple everyday pleasures, and what a privilege having it next door.

This is a lovely towpath walk although can be muddy in areas so you need suitable footwear. Nice place to go to during lockdown usually things to see boats feed the ducks trains going past all around Coxes Lock and just enjoy the peace and lovely views.
