River Rooms

The Subterraneans were playing at The River Rooms tonight - a very accomplished 5-member rock outfit with a great front man. However, the venue sound system was so blisteringly loud for what is, after all, a small venue that a lot of the songs, whilst still recognisable, just sounded like a wall of ear-splitting noise. Turn it down a couple of notches and you'd be able to discern the individual instruments more easily and listen without worrying about your ear drums.

Saw "Instinct" Local band. Only youngsters but excellent gig. They really had everyone bouncing!! They do Scooby doo, as a signature piece. Really good fun . Brilliant night .

Hands down the #1 music venue in the local area. Recently reopened following a massive refurbishment, The River Rooms is now better than ever before! Absolutely exceptional tribute bands play here, with something to suit everyone's tastes. There is a wide array of drinks available at decent prices, as you would expect from any club. The atmosphere and decor is bloody beautiful following the refurb! The toilets are actually kind of fancy now haha. There is plenty of space throughout the venue now, and there is even a covered outdoor seating area too. I highly recommend!

Came here last night for my 40th Birthday celebrations. I love this place. Great atmosphere, good priced beer and great live bands. Thank you for a brilliant night!

I remember going in having a few drinks laughing a lot then unfortunately my memory of all the events is a little cloudy. For me to give a truly informative and insightful assessment I'd have to have not consumed any alcohol, sadly I can not do that on this occasion so I'll just say this regarding the River Rooms. Im never drinking again!

Not been to this venue in years and its amazing. Lovely set up, great sound, decent toilets, large range of drinks and really friendly staff. Be coming back here more often

A good night with friends to see Moshtalgia. Music was excellent. Beer was ok and reasonably priced. Not overly keen on paying to 'sit down' or go outside and miss the gig you have paid tickets for but Im sure the venue has a good reason for this. Most of the staff were excellent and looked after customers, apart from one young dark haired lad who didnt even acknowledge the person he was serving, and deffinatly didnt say anything despite many attempts of people being polite to him. As I also work in the bar industry I know that customer service is very important, and this young lad deffinatly lacked basic customer skills. Apart from that a good night was had by a group of friends who needed a good meet up after a busy christmas period in the hospitality and retail world. X
