Wow such a beautiful, friendly place to go. Fabulous gym, classes for everyone. The 50 meter pool is amazing!!! Big credit to all the lovely hard working staff that make it special for us all every time!!! nothing is to much. Thank you
Great facilities. The 50m pool is the one I use the most, but the climbing walls, squash courts and gym are also very good. Changing rooms, showers, etc are always clean and tidy and the other outdoor facilities around the back of the building are great. The only downside is the parking can get very busy, especially when there are lots of kids clubs on.
Visited this centre a few times lately for swimming galas. Although I have not personally used the pool myself, due to volunteer work I was able to walk on pool side. The centre is impressive looking with plenty of parking at the front. £8 all day. The reception is large and clean with a large cafe. The pool is a 50m pool although I think they have the boom divider up at times. Very high tech life guard stations. Spectator seating available although limited for the size. Changing facilities where very large and kept extremely clean by the staff. Toilets where all clean. The centre also has a splash pool, sports hall and rock climbing from what I can see but can’t comment on those facilities. Overall a very impressive venue
Plenty of disabled parking spaces. Free parking for 3 hours. Pleasant staff. Café near the entrance. Good coffee. 10.00am on a Tuesday and looks busy. A positive introduction to the centre. I think my mother will be well looked after. We'll be back.
Unfortunately a beautiful new sports centre is not being well maintained. Poor cleaning of the changing rooms and public areas. Mould in the swimming pool grout already. Limescale coats the shower cubicles recent deep clean has removed it finally! For how long remains to be seen. The rooms used for martial arts and dancing have dirty floors; they just need sweeping. Rooms bookings are not well managed with rooms swapped or automatic screens activating during booked sessions this just happened again during a private hire session when there was another presentation going on. How does this keep happening? Staff are not always very responsive. Customer service is not great. The centre is cashless, even the shop, which is not very customer friendly. It's a shame that the current operators are running this centre. Hopefully that will change. It's still a fantastic centre in terms of infrastructure, it's just a shame that the company managing it are so bad at maintaining it and running it. They even have a terrible website.
A brilliant new addition to Winchester! An expansive, well equipped gym, climbing wall, badminton and squash courts and an amazing swimming set up! 50 metre pool, a learner pool and a kids splash area! A must visit! Highly recommended and the coffee shop is v good too!!
The management is a nightmare and probably doesn’t deserve any stars. As a company wide policy, they don’t do offer any alternative or refund if the classes are no longer available, so a bad management on classes etc really hurts. Facilities used to be good, but with poor cleaning and management. It’s going downhill. I hope the site can be taken over by another manager so people live in Winchester can have a local gym with good service.
It's such a palaver to book to swim, time, fast, slow lane etc. I wish you could just turn up to swim when you felt like it as swimming pools used to be. How do you know you're going to feel like swimming at 7 p.m. if you make that booking? Perhaps you wake up and fancy an early morning swim, but no, you've got to know how you're feeling days in advance.
A really nice sports centre. The pool is very nice and modern and can 2 X 25m or configured for 50m racing. Very bright and airy/light inside. Great facilities and flash bathrooms.
Had a most enjoyable day at the club with my free pass last Monday ..... very impressed with all the facilities available ... the staff were very friendly and professional .... did not hesitate to become a member !
