River Cottage Bar & Restaurant

Excellent food and good surroundings. Went on a Saturday for lunch and didn't book a table. Upon entering we were asked if we are to stay could we leave in an hour. We would of probably been gone by then but don't like to be asked to leave within a time frame. We drove over 30 minutes to get there so we decided to stay. Prices are reasonable and plenty of staff on hand. Free parking and easy to find. Would like to point out that children can bring in phones or tablets to be watched, not a problem, keeps them amused but can be too loud to the point that I never want to hear of peppa pig again! Would recommend for young families. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Parking: Ample parking and a disabled bay.

I have to say, the food was good. They have a nice set up at the back, area is lovely in good weather. Staff were nice too, friendly and helpful. It was our first time and I'm sure we'll pay another visit.

Enjoyed the steak sandwich with pepper sauce and the draft cider. Friendly and fast service left me full and happy.

Had a superbly fresh lunch with the most helpful lady and gentleman server's. Very pleasant relaxed atmosphere, which one wants that time of day.great quality food at great value prices. Comes highly recommendedFood: 5/5

Went there for a family event service wasn't but it can happen but after a good long wait to bring out the starters had to ask for my starter as all got it forgot mine but took too long to take the others and wasn't allowed to order ice cream for the kids at the end of it when askedFood: 2/5

Pizza was poor taste and quality. Also had the Asian stir fry and was not advertised as being spicy but was too spicy to even eat

Spacious restaurant with a wide variety of choice on their menu! They have several areas in the restaurant grange, indoors, and outdoors for different needs. The food is good, and the staff quite friendly.

Absolutely beautiful!! Lovely warm Welcome and beautiful food. Had the prawn linguine was really tasty. Special mention to Pat he is so nice and good at what he does.

Jonathan behind the bar was very helpful And couldn't have done more to make our experience e any better.Food: 5/5
