Great views over Weymouth Bay towards Portland. The walk from Ringstead to The Smugglers Inn takes about 45 minutes to an hour and is on generally well maintained paths. There are quite a few steps so not really suited to anyone with mobility issues. Clean and unspoilt. Lots of kite surfers, wind surfers and surfers as it was blowing a gale when we went. Quite a few signs erected by the locals, I assume as tourists keep straying from the beach!
Free parking here for National Trust members or pay by phone at the meter. You can follow the way markers to do a circular walk. It takes you along the coast path and down to the beach at Ringstead Bay. Spectacular views so well worth the effort. The walk took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete, there's also parking and a small cafe by the beach.
What a lovely dog friendly beach to spend the day! The access by car is narrow, it's only pebbles/shingles but totally worth it if you want to go to a quiet beach. It's windy there so be prepared.
Absolutely beautiful Bay, beach and walking trails... Also a lot of kite surfing going on here... Must visit place if you are in this part of Dorset. Highly recommended...
Beautiful beach. Lovely walks either way. Gorgeous landscape. Clean. Cafe is lovely when open. Parking is £5 all day in summer and £3 in winter seasons. We come often at the weekend for a walk always our go To. Water is clear and beautiful
We, are staying in a cottage overlooking the Bay. It is stunning and wild. Lots of wildlife. The coastal footpath continues through the bay. The tide doesn't seem to go out very far and the beach is pebbles so not great for everyone, but we are just loving our stay here.
beautiful and peaceful Small charge for parking and short walk down to the beach. There is a cafe, toilets and kids playground but these were close when we visited.
A quiet, beautiful pebble beach. If you want quiet and peaceful beach, this is the one. Although if you are coming from far, not worth coming all the way just for this beach. There is a parking area nearby - £6 for the whole day.
Just love this place, travel from Poole to dog walk all the time..lovely vista and breath taking views Handy cafe run by the National Trust. A great place to come and unwind.
It's a mile walk down hill to the beach and then a mile back up the hill across fields. Beautiful view from the car park
