Rimmers was great for arranging a tuner for our beloved piano. Paid up front for the piano tuner who covers most of the Northwest. Gareth arrived on the agreed date and time. Would recommend.
When visiting the shop its like you just walked into someone's house. Very unwelcoming. Firstly you're told they strongly prefer you to look/buy online Surely people should be offered the opportunity to see/hear an instrument before spending a large sum of money.
Went in to buy a guitar. I saw a few that I liked and so asked if I could try one. He said "What do you mean try" I said "play it", he said we prefer people to buy online rather than touch them. I thought I'm not going to spend £300 - £400 on a guitar and not know what it sounds like or feel how it plays/action etc. Never come accross this policy before. I've bought a number of guitars/amps over the years from Rimmers but won't be going back. p.s. I am 66 yrs old and have played guitar for 60 yrs, I'm not going to break or damage a guitar.
I bought a lovely Kawai K300 upright piano here and received a good deal. Lovely and very helpful staff. They left me alone to have a good play of the piano. Delivery was also very professional and the manager even phoned me just to make sure delivery went well. I would recommend to anyone.
I bought my son a ukulele from Rimmers and the assistant Philip, I believe was very helpful and knowledgeable. I believe that they also offer guitar lessons in store and that's something I'll be taking them up on soon. I was thanked for buying from a store rather than ordering online but for me, that's something I'll always do. We need to save our high streets! Thank you, Rimmers; I'll be back!
I visited the Southport shop with a very vague idea of what I needed to experiment with looping with a new synthesiser and they were very helpfull in suggesting options for looping pedals. Although they didn't have one available at the time, they quickly obtained one and phoned me to let me know. When I returned to the shop they showed me how to set it up and use it. They also showed me some other effects pedals which I could use to add extra textures to my music. I am very happy with both of my purchases now and was able to start using them immediately thanks to the instructions provided by the sales staff.
Having been disappointed with the service when I asked to order something from the Leyland Branch of this company, I contacted the Southport shop and found the staff very helpful. They quickly identifed the items I wanted and I placed the order. I shall always try the Southport shop for anything I want in future. They went the extra mile for me when the staff in the Leyland shop just couldn't be bothered.
They sell guitars, pianos, keyboards, drums and violins. They also teach you how to play in the music school they have. Fantastic shop.
Incredibly wide range of instruments from pianos to drums. Staff are helpful and are willing to let you try out multiple instruments.
I went in to purchase a pair of drumsticks today and the guy behind the counter was super friendly and very helpful.
