Having had takeaway food from Rima before ,and enjoyed it,I thought I would go for a meal out there and sample the restaurant experience.There was none.The first thing I noticed was that the waiter seemed to be dressed for a Saturday afternoon`s shop in Ilford rather than waiting on a table, and I was greatly surprised that there was no alcohol license.No Cobra or Kingfisher for me then!At no time were popadoms offered which is the first time this has ever happened at an Indian restaurant in my experience.The waiter was not unfriendly but the warm welcome which we have had at other restaurants in the area was entirely missing.When the food came the taste of my samosa was ok,though the pastry wrapping had a strange texture and ditto,the nan bread,which had little of the doughy texture I would expect.The lamb was chewy in one of the main courses,though my chicken dish was truly tasty and well executed. As far as the food went,it was slightly hit and miss,but as a dining experience for a meal out,it was a complete turn off,especially as the only other persons in the place were the casually dressed waiter and other casually dressed men,who must have been either his friends or the takeaway drivers. For takeaways I would still consider Rima as an option,but as a destination for a night out,it is probably the last place I would recommend.
Rimas is awesome. Food is delicious and well priced. Manager is a top guy who is very friendly. Wanna try out the new shisha bar upstairs..
I had a take away and food was good but i haven't visited since they've refurbished the place. However used it for external catering. Good food and reasonable price
The food was good. But the receipt I was given to claim my expenses was awful. A piece of paper cut up from A4 with no heading with the name of the restaurant on it.
I've been ordering food from Rima for a long time, never been disappointed
Don't order here!!! We'd give a zero if we could. We waited 3 hours for our delivery.
Don't go here i waited 3 hours for my food and the receipt was a piece of A4 paper if only i could rate zero star 0 star
