"Ridgeway Academy is a small, rural school located on an attractive green field site in Astwood Bank on the Outskirts of Redditch, Worcestershire. The school is purpose-built for secondary education with specialist and general classroom accommodation. In December 2012 the school became a new academy and since then we have been using our new freedoms to build on the school’s success in order to provide all our pupils with a first-class education. From September 2016 Ridgeway Academy will provide 600 pupils.We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements and the excellent relationships that we have with our parents and carers. Very impressed with this school. I did have my doubts to begin with as the school's communication home wasn't the best. This has improved and is still improving. Staff are friendly, approachable, honest and understanding. Not fully accessible due to two seperate staircases to the 1st floor, with no lift. However the school are very accommodating and flexible when required.
this school is just the worst, the litter is every where and some of the pupils act like savages.however there is a hand full of teachers which i could consider good ,they spend more money on the animals which are still in a constant state of poop,some of the teachers not to name but are like prison wardens in the sense that they punish you for irrelevant circumstances such as not talking when you are told not to talk .... THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!! the schools meals have made me ill on several accounts and also tastes of sewer sludge,we rarely have the water dispensers working and to top it off the food is well over priced, they charge you £2 for some thing worth 50p. also the school building is in disregard and trampy. fact that we have the dirty lost property box which contains peoples undergarments and other items such as yogurt pots and so for, have a guess where this is located .... the canteen where pupils of the school collect their over priced food . another issue to bring into the equation is the school run mini bus , they charge us £15 pounds a week , this is robbing when you take into the fact that this is the only transportation for some pupils which are living in the brockhill and batchley areas of redditch .this is straight robbing on the school behalf because they are taking advantage of some ones difficult situation .this is actual stealing and scamming their way into getting money,this must be stopped in conclusion my opinion of this hell of a school is this is the most worst school in the area of redditch . people get bullied and teased 247 because of no reason and the school turns a blind eye to people on sports teams who do wrong , this shows a level of not treating pupils as equal , also the school is under supplied and on the brink of bankruptcy . this is the worst school and there is every thing wrong with this school ....
Teachers are really nice and I could really list a few that I personally enjoy lessons with but we’re to restricted and some of the rules are really bad, they moved lunch time back by one lesson making everyone really hate the schedule cause everyone’s really hungry
The kids at this school can be mean and can be 2 faced .I do like it at Ridgeway and teachers are kind and sometimes listen to you miss savva is the best teacher she ALWAYS helps you I love miss savva
I hate this school no one helps people who get bullied and I think it was a stupid idea to make it an academy because we don’t have room in the school or the hall or even on the playground it’s all cramped also I don’t like how some teachers treat other students also hate that on 2nd or 5th lesson when needing the toilet we are not aloud to go if we even would need it badly I wouldn’t go into them toilets with all mould and smells and plants growing from windows I also don’t like that year 8 has to wear blazers and have to ask to take them off this school is absolutely terrible and garbage
Went there before ages ago when it was good and before it was changed to a secondary school. Was feeling nostalgic and wanted to look at what the school is like now. And oh... what went wrong... :/

This school is perfect could do with lifts though
