The crispy duck was very soggy and fatty, the chilli salted chips were also very soggy, the spring rolls were free alongside the order so can't complain too much and they were OK but definitely not fresh. Battered sausage was average taste, everything else was poor and definitely not worth £27
I was made very very ill by this restaurant. The quality is substandard to say the least. The chicken ball chicken itself had a strange crunch to it and I don't mean the batter That should have rung alarm bells. Hair in the rice and I was seriously ill for at least 2 weeks afterwards with food poisoning. Absolutely avoid. Such a shame as the only Chinese delivery in Romsey. Needs to be shut down. A disgrace.
Ordered a takeaway from here last night and it was probably the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. The best bits and I use the word best loosely where the egg fried rice but there didn't seem to be any egg. The chow mein was tasteless and consisted of a few bits of chicken, noodles and nothing else. For the rest, the crispy chilli beef was more like incinerated beef and had more carrot than beef the carrot was raw it was so horrible it went into the bin. The roast duck in orange sauce was so fatty that that also went into the bin. The chicken balls where over cooked but the dogs ate them anyway. Will not be ordering from here again. The only reason that I have clicked on a star is that it wont let me post unless I do so - there does not seem to be an option for minus stars :
Oh my word.... Rickshaw you really surpassed yourself this evening!!!! Satay sauce to die for!! All food DELICIOUS AND delivered to Sherfield English within 20 minutes!! Please don't look at late night reviews just try for yourself really don't think you'll be disappointed.
Warning!!! What a fantastic experience ,great customer service, polite, fast delivery and hot food. rectified any mistakes that where made!! didn't need to have to reheat because it was steaming hot, I would recommend highly!!!! great chicken balls best i ever had in life!!!!
Terrible terrible terrible. Food don’t show up staff rude and don’t care. DO NOT USE. This is and was a genuine review of our experience. The food did not turn up and the staff in the restaurant were rude to us and you, the manager, didn't really care about resolving the problem... We waited 30 to 40 minutes for our food and when the driver arrived, who was very polite and apologetic realised that you hadn't given him our order, which I was very understanding about because I know mistakes can happen and didn't have any issues with him. My issue is with how you managed the situation thereafter, we called you immediately and we were told to wait and somebody would call us back, not the best start. we called back in 3 to 4 minutes and were told you would need to cook the food again, which is fine and we would need to wait 1/2 hr because the driver was making other deliveries, which again was not ideal, but we were willing to wait another 1/2 hr. What I wasn't happy about is you were only prepared to reduce the price by £10.00. I didn't ask for the food to be given to us free of charge and I didn't expect you to deliver freshly cooked food to us within 10 minutes. What I asked for was £20.00 discount for the inconvenience and because we were loyal customers and have spent £100's with you over the last year I thought this was more than reasonable. Unfortunately, you didn't agree with me and you clearly don't think that looking after loyal customers is worthwhile to your business. If that's the way you treat your loyal customers, I wish you all the best for the future...
MUST READ!!!! This must be the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever experienced!!! Everything tasted rank and was soo stale! As if it was cooked this morning and microwaved or something!! Highly recommend chef peking or jade garden as a replacement!! £18 for stomach thanks rickshaw!!
Just spent £35 on a Chinese, where the food was less than adequate, they added some free mini rolls which was nice touch, but quality of food was poor, ordered spicy shredded beef, this was clearly made up with more shredded carrot ratio compared to beef.
I have ordered food from here recently for me and my friends and when it came very quickly it was very hot when it arrived, i must say the chicken balls were probably one of the best i have had in a few years and will definitely order again.
We stopped using Rickshaw for quite a while as we had some questionable meals but since trying them again last year we’ve been delighted. The food is always hot and tasty and the delivery team are very friendly. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for our Chinese takeaway delivery now. Thank you :
