I've been with Richard Lucking for over 7 years and relationship is getting better with every year that passes. They take time to get to know you as a client and always know what's best. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Peter Leonard is a gem and a wealth of knowledge. 5* service. And to comment on the previous review - well, you get what you pay for. I don't think they are expensive compared to the wrong advise out there and complications it could bring.

I approached Rickard Keen under the impression that they are good accountants. I was calling them on a few occasions to get advice etc and a year down the line I was presented with an invoice that states that I have to pay for the advice given to me which they charged me by the hour without my knowledge. 

I also had to pay a further substantial amount just for being with them! I think it was about £500 + VAT. To top it all off they charged me another £500 plus for my Self-Assessment. I done all the bookkeeping myself and all they had to do is fill in a form and submit it online. If I knew I would have just done it all myself. As I was a start up business I didn’t realise the fees would be so much at the end of the tax year, it was such a shock to me and also my business associates, they said its totally unheard of. So I pleaded with them to give me time to pay, instead they presented me with a County Court Judgement without giving me much time to get the money together and pay them.

My business life has not been the same since I approached Richard Keen, this accountancy service is a total rip off and I don’t think they believe in a long term business relationship. I will not trust any other accountancy firm in Southend-On-Sea any more as Rickard Keen was supposed to be the best.
