Story

Richard completed his apprenticeship in painting and decorating in Sheffield and obtained the City and Guilds Advanced Craft and Colour & Design Award. In 1984 set up his family business, Richard Smithson Decorating Services.

We are a corporate member of the 'guild of mastercraftsmen'.

As a professional painter and decorator we aim always to provide a quality painting & decorating service to residental, commercial & industrial clients alike.

Our reputation is built on a great customer service with help and advice given from the outset, minimal disturbance on site and a professional standard of workmanship throughout.

I found Richard to be an excellent decorator.  He really took the time to work out what we wanted.  He kept the place tidy at all times and has done a fantastic job.  I would heartily recommend him.

Richard has done work for me for over 20 years, I have  quite a few properties that I rent out and when they come up for re decoration Richard is always the one I contact to keep them in top shape . Time is money and who can afford to keep a house empty and lose rent. Richard is always there when he says he will be and is always fast and clean. I also have used him extensivly on my own home especially when it comes to adding those little bits of class like painted furniture or hanging that special wall paper. Highly recommended.
