What can I say? They’ve been in business for over 100 years and we’ve have been with them for over 50 of them! They have guided us through our personal tax returns, advised us on buying and running a couple of businesses and, many years later, selling them. We have obviously dealt with several members of the team over the years but found them all to be very knowledgeable and very approachable. If you’re looking for anything to do with accountancy, business advice or taxation, give them a call, you won’t regret it! Margaret & Vic Loughran.

We have been using Richard Place Dobson  to do our accounts for many years now and would highly recommend them . Last week, on Friday we had an issue with our Sage software and they went above and beyond to help get this fixed. David was really helpful and knowledgeable and I wouldn't have been able to fix this issue without him.

A professional, but still friendly accountancy firm with all the benefits you would expect from such a large organisation. We were with them for about 25 years and would recommend them to anyone who needed their level of expertise.

Can’t recommend Richard Place Dobson enough. Was helped by Jordan who was extremely helpful and very supportive especially providing invaluable knowledge with regard to capital gains tax. I will most definitely be using Richard Place Dobson and Jordan in particular again to guide me through any financial queries I may encounter or future services I may require.

I used RPD for probate services and ongoing tax returns. Jordan dealt with both of these and during this difficult time he was always both professional and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and he responded to all my many worries and queries efficiently and sympathetically. I would definitely recommend.

I engaged Karl Carraher and Matthew Tyson to provide me with taxation advice regarding a purchase and structure of a residential property within a limited company structure, and cannot express how highly I would rate their knowledge of HMRC regulations, professionalism and all-round customer service. Karl was a wealth of knowledge and was able to explain complex tax liabilities in a clear and simple to understand manner. His detailed understanding of HMRC legislation is truly incredible. Matthew was always courteous, extremely punctual in his replies to requests for information, and responded to emails at all hours, day or night. Their fees are also very competitive and I would highly recommend their services.

My main point of contact John Corduff has helped oversee a smooth transition from a sole trader to a limited company as well as looking after my tax. We have used Richard Place Dobson for over 20 years now and they have always given us excellent service. What I like most is that I can call up any number of people there and get straight through to the person I need to speak to, often resolving any queries I have over a short telephone call. With the more recent move over to cloud accounting they have helped me gain a greater understanding on how to do a lot of the admin stuff myself using Xero which has brought down our overall accountancy fees whilst also giving me a much better knowledge about the running of my companies.
