We ordered on Uber Eats, food is late and had to move estimated delivery time… and every time we’ve phoned the line has been “busy” on numerous occasions over an hour long period… either I’m just unlucky, the phone is disconnected or they’re so busy it’s near impossible to catch them on the phone… either way… still waiting for food, ordered over an hour ago…
Had a nice meal here, friendly staff and reasonably priced. Set menu was good.
Usually go to Hins but had no choice but to try here as Hins are closed Sunday. Tiny portion sizes. Mains the size of a side anywhere else. Flavourless Chicken Sweetcorn soup. Tasted like boiled water. Chicken curry watery and no flavour. Prawns with water chestnuts and bambooshoots flavourless. No free prawn crackers
Just spent 25 pound I'm fuming chips wasn't even cooked hard on the inside usually 10 chicken balls got 8 the batter was disgusting the chicken was OK sauce was nice but the dearest Chinese in town I expected much much more never again Lee's cottage all the way from now onFood: 1/5
We ordered takeaway as it was New year's eve, lovely food as always, some nice spicy dishes and everything tasted fresh. I would have given five stars, but we had to wait 2hours for delivery & it needed reheating...but it was New year's so I'm not complaining :
Food is great and tasty, staff is really nice and friendly, loved the experience. Looking forward to try it in doors once lockdown is over!!
Had a take away the food was very nice.
Food is good but portions are small. I ordered a salt and chilli prawns, website says you get 8 prawns, I got 7. They increase prices but rip you off with the portions. Once we recieved a wrong dish on our order so had to get the correct one redelivered but they asked for the wrong dish back! . I wonder which poor customer got that on their order.
Our first time trying The Rice Bowl and we were not disappointed! Their food is full of flavour, and they offer a wide variety of dishes. We were worried that the portions might be a bit small for us but were pleasantly surprised that we had enough for leftovers! Would definitely recommend.
Used this takeaway for the first time. Some of the food was kind of ok apart from the dry spare ribs ordered for £6 .They were terrible ,small,too dry, hardly any meat on them,and worst of all one had a 5cm piece of thick cartilage attached that made me feel sick, and put me off the rest of the food.Shame really because I was hoping the experience would be much better than the Happy Garden also in Towester.I have one more Chinese takeaway to try in Towester,and after that I will probably give up on Chinese food all together.
