We stumbled across Rhug estate on a random drive out, i do love coming across places like this but these days you certainly pay for the privilege. Was clean enough and spacious to have a wander to stretch your legs and have a moment, seen as we were there we decided to grab lunch to see us on our way, now at £8.95 for a burger and at a place that had a butchers inside, i certainly expected a better quality burger, they didnt seem anything more than a cheap multipack burger from a supermarket, not bad but certainly not worth the £8.95 price tag. Bought a nice sausage roll and a scotch egg from inside but again....£3.50 for a scotch egg, come on. Lovely place as i say but if you wish to take something away, prepare to pay. Shame really.
Expensive breakfast of questionable quality. Bacon looked good but the sausage was poor on a dry cheap bap cost approximately £4. Some nice food in the farm shop bit and some nice souvenirs. Facilities were clean.
Been going over 10 years and it gets better every time. Good variety of food and drink. Good facilities for indoor and outdoor dining. The farm shop is excellent and they now have a drive-thru! You won’t regret calling in for a cheeky snack.
Nice and many food options. Great place to have a break. Many natural organic food options. Staff is helpful. Drive thru. Spacious car park. Many types of ice creams, hot and cold drinks available. Very rare to have a stop like this in a National Park.
Stopped for a short break at the cafe. Enjoyed a drink and a lovely homemade soup with crusty bread. Not cheap but very acceptable. Toilets available plenty of parking and room to stretch the legs after a long drive
Lovely food! We had burgers which were delicious! Recommended, great place to stop whilst charging your car!
Always a welcome journey break point with a well stocked shop & cafe but today at 15:40 the standards had slipped. Bins were overflowing in the car park and the ladies toilets were in need of attention, bin full, floor covered in tissues, basins a mess and no toilet paper in any cubicles. Very disappointing.
Great food can not give 5star because the toilets are a disgusting. Dirt peee and lots of paper on the floor ... so if you don't need the loo it's OK.
Beef burger was delicious, just took time to find out how to order as systems weren't working properly and no proper indication of what to do. Went to order mince pies after and was told that they were free if you'd had a hot drink which we had, they'd just forgotten to tell anyone. Toilets were grim, half not available and those that were were blocked or out of toilet roll. However the shop is full of interesting and attractive products and we spent a small fortune. We always stop here and no doubt will do next time but hope it improves or we may bypass it in future.
Great place to grab breakfast or lunch before your trip. The farm shop is amazing with great local produce. There’s also an ev charger nearby.
