Had a great time at the exhibition, which was super cheap, too. Afterwards we did some decoupage crafts ourselves, which we didn’t realise was an option without booking so that was a very nice surprise!  Food options are great. Would definitely visit again!

If you're on the motorway, and you have children say 9 and under this is a good loo stop because of the outdoor play fort. And it's free.   Besides that, it is exactly, as another user said, a glorified shop.

Went for a coffee and found the machine quite difficult to work but managed it in the end

Have come here before and really liked the place. Would be 4 or 5 stars but they've removed the outdoor play area. They have a very nice but small indoor play area that can be booked for £5 per child per hour. Not sure we'll stop here again. Though it is quieter than Tebay....

Stopped here as reviews all mentioned a great outdoor play area, but its not there anymore - disappointing. Inside the building is clean, good selection of shops. Not really so much of a discovery centre though, just another close to motorway but very pleasant stop off. Please put an outdoor play area in, we'd stop here every time we pass if you do!

Excellent exhibition and cafe

Always a good place to stop off on a journey to Cumbria. Shop and eat and rest. A good cinema too, plus exhibitions to visit.
