We have used this company for a variety of jobs over the past two years and have always been very pleased with the service. They turn up when they say they will and have a very clear system of quotes and invoices. Mike is always willing to give sound advice when needed and the jobs are always carried out to a high spec. We are absolutely delighted with our latest project a downstairs cloakroom.
Excellent service for a reasonable price. I called as an emergency to attend to my badly leaking hot water tank. Despite their busy schedule, Michael the company director was able to accommodate my request and Jodie, most professionally, promptly and calmly fixed the problem. I am most grateful and highly recommend this company.
This company did a great job with the installation of an outdoor electrical box and circuit for my garden lights and power for shed. Their quote was very reasonable. They came when they said they would and did a very good job. Will use again
Prompt friendly service. Went out of their way to do the work the day before Christmas, as my heating and hot water gave up the ghost. Price a bit more than expected, but with covid, and because of the date, understandable. Have used them several times in the past. Highly recommended.
Cambridge Discount Electrical have come various times over several years, to check my old boiler, install a new one and then do checks on that one. They have been thorough and professional in their work, and have taken the time to explain what needs doing and why and what the options are. I thoroughly recommend them.
We are very happy with the two full shower room replacements. Good advise on how to achieve the best results before work started. Very friendly and professional team of plumbers and electricians working at a difficult time with Covid safe guards in place. They were flexible with some extra work requested. Communications excellent. I have already booked for some smaller additional work and would highly recommend them.
The first time I have used the Company and chose them as I needed two small plumbing and electrical jobs done. I could not have chosen better. The work not urgent was done in an acceptable time span, workmen were on time and were polite and friendly, everywhere was left clean and tidy. I was impressed by the administration part of the company both by telephone and IT. I would have no hesitation in using the company again and recommending them to my friends.
Couldn't be happier with the service. Was kept updated about appointments and visits. Electrician and gas fitter were efficient, friendly and polite. The admin side of things was spot on and when I spoke to anyone on the phone they were helpful and friendly. Have recommended CDE to all our friends. Had CDE to do the annual service on our boiler. Best service the boiler has had since it was fitted twelve years ago!!
The service and communication has been really poor. They wanted to receive payment before performing the job. The job involved changing 3 radiators around and fitting a new one. The valves on one of the older radiators were installed back without any teflon, which resulted in leaking a few days after. They had to come back to fit new valves, which was done by inexperienced staff. They were unable to balance the radiators properly. As a result, we now have an unbalanced system full of air. We waited for 3 weeks to get an experienced member of staff to come and do the balancing after that. The visit was cancelled without us knowing. We have been trying to get a booking in now for 3 days and they keep coming up with excuses: the experienced plumber is working elsewhere so they can't decide what needs to be done, the system has "debris" first time hearing this, it is a one-day job.... At the beginning we were told our system was old but in good shape and that it still have plenty of life in it. It is suspicious that now they suddenly see so many faults to it. We are worried something is going to give, as the pipes, heater and shower pump has gotten extremely noisy . If you must use their services make sure you get a detailed quote, do *not* pay them in advance, and do not let them leave without completing the job properly.
Great customer service. Quick replies and easy communication. Inspection visit and electricity safety checks were carried out. Reasonable Quotes. Professional service. We had some minor faults fixed and a new electricity fuse box installed. We would use Cambridge Discount Electrical Ltd again.
