Really great hotel. Lovely building that has been tastefully 'refreshed'. Excellent breakfasts. Super hosts - nothing is too much trouble. Short walk to the seafront, though when the tide's out, the sea's a long way away! Not the prettiest beach, but great for long dog walks. Rooms: 5/5
I loved this hotel. The room was a modern, good size room with an en-suite shower room. Tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits was provided. The restaurant was very good although not open every evening and alternatives were a short drive away. Breakfast was delicious and could be tailored to suit your needs but there wasn't a continental option. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
What a gorgeous place to stay. The rooms are of a very high standard & extremely clean. From start to finish the food was amazing and the atmosphere was great, would highly recommend Cumbrian Lodge to family & friends. The owners Angela & Paul couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was stress free & you couldn’t meet a nicer couple! Nothing was too much trouble for them both. Will definitely be back, can’t wait to book another weeks stay
Paul and Angela are truly amazing people. They are really helpful in recommending places to visit. They really give good directions. The food here is really nice. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. 5-7 min walk from the beach. What a gem. I cannot recommend a stay here enough. We had a really lovely time. Thanks to Paul and Angela's Hospitality.
Ideal place to stay for scafell etc. Staff are great nothing is too much trouble. Lovely breakfast. Thanks again. We will hopefully be back again.
Beautiful place, very clean, garden lovely, plenty of coffee/tea etc in room, Paul & Angela are great, very easy to talk to, we had a great nights sleep, Breakfast was great too, freshly made - none of your re-heated stuff... Lauren you're a star and Thank you all we had a great time, we'll be visiting again at some point
My family stayed at the Cumbrian Lodge for 3 nights. The rooms were immaculately clean, nicely appointed, and comfortable. The service was great—the owners were very nice and accommodating; we felt like we were guests in their home. Also the food offered at breakfast and dinner was outstanding! I wish that I had taken more pictures of it, but I normally dug into it before I thought about taking a picture My family would highly recommend the Cumbrian Lodge and we would love to come back.
Really nice rooms and the breakfast was excellent. The owners were lovely and they gave us some great recommendations for things to do in the area. We really enjoyed our stay.
First welcome from owners was so positive, atmosphere is so calm. Great food also and rooms are comfy and spot on. Because of warm welcomes we received from them, will come back if we will go that way.
