I don't like giving negative reviews but I've had a terrible experience with this company. It took them over two months and 4 service calls to repair my dishwasher only for it to break down again after a week. I eventually called out a independent engineer who came out the next day and fixed the dishwasher at half the price. I'm more annoyed about the amount of cancelled appointments and wasted time on the phone.
I have not used my Domestic & General washing machine cover for some years and I can't remember whether RSL was their contractor previously ... but this is not what I remember D&G service to be. The first appoint was one week after I called - brought forward by sheer accident of a cancellation. Then they needed a part and the appointment to install that was 10 days after the first visit. But that hasn't sorted it and now I am at the mercy of an out of hours answering machine! Horrid Service. I think I will move to British Gas. I have my dishwasher cover with them and last year they came twice in one week to sort a draining problem and the second time was optional because they noticed that a filter was beginning to wear away and should be replaced ... Can't believe I'm praising British Gas, but I am, compared to this sorry lot. I would have given a single star except for the very good engineer Ian who clearly is at the mercy of godawful management.
If I could give them zero stars I would. It has taken them over a month to send an egineer to my house, and they keep cancelling my appoinments. The only thing he needs to do is tell the insurance company that the appliance needs to be replaced. Meanwhile I am still paying monthly insurance for the appliance. I knew from day one all they needed to do was give me sign off to get a replacement dishwasher because that's what the engineer said last time he came to fix it, but they did not listen to me and now we've wasted over a month. Meanwhile my tenant has had to take 3 days off work to wait for the engineer and they call the day before to cancel the appoinment. Useless company!
Shame you can't leave no stars. Avoid using this company. The engineer came around to see my dishwasher and said they need to order a part. Since then a month later, I've heard nothing and had to chase them everytime, just excuses and cancelled appointments. They were quick to take my money, I don't know why Zanussi recommend using this company.
Unnecessary Harassment - My AEG dish washer has a 5 yr warranty and has been registered for warranty. They can see this on their computers, they have booked me an engineer but in spite of all this I have been advised that they would want me to produce my appliances proof of purchase to show to the engineer. Why would they want to see this in this day & age of electronically stored data. British gas dont ask me to see the purchase of my boiler when they come out for repairs, The aa dont ask me for the purchase invoice for my car when they send me a rescue patrol. Beware they dont have engineers to attend for upto 10 days this has happened to me for the second time- On last call out my washing machine was attended after 10 days - same thing again this time - Ridiculously under staffed
Hopeless. Despite being the authorised repair service which you have to use to keep your warranty in place, was informed it would take THREE WEEKS for them to get a basic repair part. You can order a entire new appliance to be delivered in less than 24 hours for almost the same cost. Went straight to Zanussi and got it repaired in 24 hours. For a company servicing essential appliances and holding official contracts, this simply isn't good enough service.
Nearly 4 weeks without a fridge so far...! Can never get through on the phone- understaffed in office and with engineers. If we'd known it would be this long we would never have bothered. 2 year old Zanussi fridge. Repair service is so bad we will never buy from that group of companies again. The general opinion seems to be AVOID. Wish we had!
Shocking company to have the misfortune of dealing with via AEG. Never answer their phones and delayed responses when I resorted to emailing. First engineer diagnosed the repair required and no mention that it wasn't covered by the fixed repair fee we had paid. Then after 2 weeks waiting for the first available appointment the second engineer comes and advises the work would come with no guarantee and at a cost to us of a new fridge. We suffereed 2 weeks of no fridge and incurring additional costs due to their incompetence and they wouldn't refund us. No stars for Respond Services.
AVOID! Utterly useless and ridiculous. My Beko fridge freezer has been broken for over a MONTH. Had 3 cancelled appointments because they can't get a part delivered from Beko. Latest cancellation made on the day of appointment. No sense of urgency not even the decency to arrange a Saturday repair as a courtesy of mucking me around during working week. Insurance companies Domestic and General in my case should find a different supplier than this one as they simply can't do their job properly. RUBBISH RUBBISH.
Why do Ikea use this company for their repairs? I had a dishwasher which could be used, but needed a new filter. I've now got a dishwasher which makes a continual cranking noise even when switched off and will not work at all. Call centre staff do not call you back when they say they will. A thoroughly frustrating company to deal with.
