This ferry pier should be more convenient for the public, but there are not enough good facilities for matching the public crossing River Clyde.
Terrible service drivers fail to turn up constantly and are late a lot of the time. And if you complain about service they simply ban you from crossing. Total farce service... Can't wait for the bridge
Didn't even get seasick!
Mid journey we were attacked by pirates, after an exchange of cannon fire the Yoker ferry managed to prevail. Would recommend this ferry.
I do find the ferry is useful and is part of my partners everyday commute to work. However there is no communication in regards to when services will be off. I think it would be helpful to have a notice on the website or even an active social media account with updates if the ferry will be off that day. Otherwise you just have to show up at the terminal and hope for the best. Other than that the ferry is great, cuts what would be a long drive into a short trip across the water and staff are friendly.
Great views! Not so sure of the sturdiness of the ship hearing the noise it makes. Very regular. I've never been on it and if I'm being honest I don't really want to my friend the Quinninator has been on it when she was "like 7" she's a great gal and has a fear of water a great reliable primary source. Just found out my other friend Chocolate went on it with her "dug" and he hated it yet another brilliant primary source
A quick way to cross Clyde river between Renfrew and Yoker. For pedestrians and cyclists only.
I'm giving the ferry service 1 star as the last few times I've tried this crossing on my bike it has not been running. I imagine it must be frustrating for the commuters waiting for the replacement bus service. For me it is a total pain as my only alternative is a long detour either cycling over the Erskine bridge or through the Clyde tunnel. It's a real shame as this is a great resource for many people and the lack of information about whether it is running or not is an insult to the public who rely on this for their daily commute. Please SPT or whoever runs this- get your act together and get this service working regularly again.
No ferry. No warning. Meant to be open until 18:30. It's only 14:30. On demand number does not work! Pathetic
£2 each way and my bike for free. Short trip probably lasted 2 mins. Felt safe. Good alternative to cycling the tunnel and avoiding the sewage plant in Govan for my trip to Braehead
