What a lovely place york registrar office is it was so nice and the room filled so many on my nephew/godson wedding day on 16/06/2017 the gardens and grounds were fantastic fir lovely pictures as were the streets of this historic city , once England's capital. I'd get married here it's so nice .

My husband and I had a wonderful wedding ceremony in the Bootham Suite on 14th October. Both the ladies conducting / recording the ceremony were extremely friendly, the setting was gorgeous, and the ceremony itself had the right amount of gravitas whilst still feeling very personal and special to us. I can't thank the staff enough for making our special day absolutely perfect. I'd give them 6 stars if I could!!

What a waste of time trying to register a birth so I ring them up all I get is we are busy ring back later, great so I have to spend all day calling the number to listen to the same bloody message, wonder If I can get away with missing the register dead line of 40 days or so because no one in York register office will pick the bloody phone.

Appalling! A bunch of unorganised, lying idiots! They almost ruined me wedding! I booked them for 2pm and they put it in there diary as 1pm. I spoken to someone 3 times over the course of a year and everytime they said it was booked for 2pm until 12 weeks before. Plus none of them actually know what they are talking about, I was advised that it would cost £575 including deposit and giving of notice and 12 weeks before the wedding they said no it's £590 excluding the £70 for giving notice! UTTERLY USELESS!
