It was okay. The food was flavoursome and enjoyable, but I’m not writing home to my mum about it. If the standard is your average Chinese takeout in the UK, this will be good. If you are looking for top-noch authentic Chinese, a little less so. The online order platform makes it easy. The pick up space in the restaurant is a little chaotic, with boxes and stuff here and there, but it’s not a dine in space.
We collected our order, arrived home and the food was cold.... we only stay 8 mins drive away. Part of our order which we made online asked for sauce seperate Not a huge deal for most people but this was for a child. When I called I had to explain numerous times what the issue was... The person on the other end of the phonepresumably the owner ended up hanging up on me because I asked for this to be corrected and delivered. He basically demanded I bring the food back if theres a problem.. .. Eh, no , we collected as expected, you made the error, so you shoild correct it... I actually did say I would come and collect it but I would expect diesel cost to be absorbed.... The person on the other end of the phone was extremely rude, arrogant , kept talking over me, and not interested at all that I wasn't happy about part of my order... ....shame, as this was the first time we tried this take away after recommendations but we will not be returning. Absolutely disgusting Customer service!!!!!! Unfortunately there's no option for NO stars!!!! Too add the owner has now blocked my phone number as well.... Again... ZERO Customer Service......
Always friendly staff and the food is very good. My own favourite is the Cantonese Sweet and Sour Chicken and the various soups. The delivery service is fast and efficient and the food is always hot when it arrives. Well recommended by a great many locals. The waft of cooking food on the corner of Ritchie Street / Arthur Street is always a temptation.
Hands down the best Chinese food. Food is genuine, full on taste and texture is spot on. The website to order food is well updated and easy to navigate.
We tried this place shortly after moving here and honestly weren't impressed. Decided to give it another try and were absolutely blown away - hands down the best chinese food I've ever tasted. I believe it's changed hands recently - well this shows, because I've never had chinese food as good as this. The portion size is very generous - I've paid more in the three towns for smaller portions which weren't nearly as tasty. 100% would recomment you at least give this place a try.
Absolutely delicious !! Singapore noodles and Satay Chicken AMAZING. So big are the portions, I have dinner for tomorrow night too and I'm not a small eater. Thank you Regent Takeaway, I'll definitely be back
Very friendly, good vegan options. The COVID awareness was still very high.
Just OK, set menu very reasonably priced only £10.50. Nothing too offensive about food, good portions, chicken nice and soft in chow Mein, chcken soup to start was littlerely just a chicken stock cube with chicken in it and very salty. Overall just really average if your looking for authenticity then this isn't the place but if your looking for big bland portions then give it a go.
Used to go a lot and liked it but recently the sauces have been watered down, got chicken skewers and satay sauce, the sauce was terrible as was the spare rib sauce. Tried a few times after that and still no improvement now go to the Chinese in largs
Quick delivery, plenty of good chicken. Sweet and sour balls were lovely. Best Chinese we have tasted thanks
