Like others, I’m here to debunk the bad reviews. We enjoyed it. Chips not the best, but it wasn’t yesterday’s chips and not cardboard. Fish was great. Pineapple great. Service excellent. And there were locals ordering there so can’t be that bad eh. Would return.
Was a little concerned after reading the reviews online but after having the fish and chips and one of us having the sausage and chips, we were extremely pleased with the quality of food. It was absolutely delicious. Never judge a book like its cover. The owner in there was really friendly and this was one of the nicest fish and chips we had had in a long time.nOne small nitpick is that it is cash only as it caught us out at the start and had to return to get cash.
Avoid this place. We paid full price for what were the most diabolical chips we've ever had. Clearly warm ups from the day before. Tasteless, like cardboard, dried out. They were so bad none of us could eat them. We paid full price and they served up warm ups. Absolute insult. Will never use this bad excuse of a chip shop again. Burger was like rubber. Fish batter was warm up. Avoid and go somewhere better.
I wouldn’t normally review a fish and chip shop but I Was really put off by the other reviews and it caused chaos in our house after I’d promised everyone fish and chips and then said I wasn’t gonna risk it…. Finally decided to give a go after all its fish and chips how bad can it be?nThey were absolutely spot on, we had 2 fish, chicken nuggets, fish cake and loads of chips. All lovely. Everyone happy. And £30 for six meals is a bargain.
The bad reviews are a shame, we had cod, chips and kids had sausage and a fishcake. Fish was great, chips were fine and no complaints from the kids. Wait was a bit long because of telephone orders coming in/getting picked up. But cash only. Is a bit ridiculous these days.
