Have used reed house for a number of years. Cats always are always happy after their visits and Alison will let you WhatsApp or text her to check how your animals are. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly too

Used Reed House for 9 years for my Dog and also my cat. Always come out the same as going in, always well cared for. Sometimes my Dog comes out a little stinky like a farm yard but they are a farm with alot of horses and do exercise on the fields and you can request a bath for them. Always friendly staff I would recommend to everyone.

I'm not sure how much of this was due to my kitten being young (she's only 4 months old, the stay at the cattery was unavoidable) but she was absolutely distraught when I collected her, she was wailing and making sounds I'd never heard before. Her carrier stunk of cat wee & once home I discovered that she'd also defecated in it, she's never done this on various other journeys. When dropping her off I noticed that the cattery was really cold (although I was assured there were thermal mats), I'd expect a cattery to be a nice cosy warm place. When we got home she was ravenous so I'm not sure how successful they were in feeding her. Aside from trying to overcharge me and keeping me waiting for an hour to collect her it's safe to say I wasn't overly impressed.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I URGE AND BEG YOU NOT TO USE THIS FACILITY FOR YOUR PETS, if you want them back, healthy, clean and happy. I used this kennels for the first time this year and will never have the opportunity to do so again as my cat had to be put to sleep a couple of weeks later. We left our healthy cat in their care for only 5 days and she was noticeably not herself on collection. Her fur smelt like a public urinal (as others have reported) and blood tests revealed she had a terminal illness - associated with poisoning. After failed attempts to save her we had no alternative but to have her put to sleep. This was devastating for us and our children. This has been reported and left in the hands of the authorities. Aside from this Alison was horrible and rude to deal with on the collection of my pet and if i'd have dealt with her on booking and drop off, I would have reconsidered my choice then. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HAVE YOUR YOUR PETS CARED FOR AT HOME IN YOUR ABSENCE OR USE AN ALTERNATIVE COMPANY.

I have been using Reed House Farm kennels for over ten years and have found them excellent. My little dog happily leaps out of the car when we arrive and I think of it as her second home. When I was admitted to hospital Alan kindly collected my dog and and also delivered her home to West Didsbury. I cannot recommend them enough.
