Absolutely awful. The care my dad received was dismal. Within 2 weeks of being there, he was admitted to hospital 3 times. Durimg the second week he ended up with severe dehydration and kidney damage. Basically he had been put in a room at the end of a long corridor, and due to the crash mat placed by his bed and him being bed bound with mixed dementia he was unable to reach any fluids. Dad wasn't checked on regularly by staff. Thank god the legal system were involved and refused his return following his third admission to hospital. I would not recommend this care home to anyone,
My aunt was here for 5 weeks on end of life in April and May..nCan't thank the day staff enough they were fabulous and all treated her with respect an made us all feel like part of a family .. The last few days of aunts life was hard but the team tried there best to keep us going..nThis is a home for dementia patients and everyone works hard to try and keep them safe and happy.. Jayne the Manager and all her team need a big thanks for everything they do and people who visit should appreciate them more ..
The worst care home I have ever had the misfortune to see a family member use. The manager is the most unprofessional I have come across and put the phone down on my elderly mum when she asked to collect my disabled sisters wheelchair.nThe worst part the place is unsafe as my sister has suffered critical health deterioration due to being sent to hospital in the middle of the night without her CPAP. The staff then refused to take this to hospital for her so she suffered respiratory failure and nearly died.nDo not send your loved ones here.
Brilliant home with staff that actually care. This dementia specialist nursing home has been nothing short of miraculous with my grandmother's care. The staff obviously care about the patients, the food is e cellent and home made and delicious. The house keeping is top notch and the activities are designed so the patients enjoy life. Day trips are brilliant. Rooms are excellent. I would recommend this home to anyone requiring a supportive placement for a family member.
We hope when your loved one comes into a place like this or you end up in a similar place yourself.. we hope you dont get treated in the exactly same way as my father is law as. This is what you have to look forward to. When your in a place like this it's what you deserve!nnShould be ashamed of yourself management and staff!
