Lovely little hotel. Friendly staff and really nice breakfast. The rooms are spacious and clean. They don't serve lunch or dinner but have a pub where you can have a nightcap before bed.
Good warm room, comfortable bed, great shower. Bar was friendly and quiet. Great breakfast cooked to order. Not expensive. Will definitely be back.
My boyfriend and I stayed here one night of our walking holiday. From the street the pub and hotel isn’t much to look at however we were caught by surprise. The staff were lovely and we got chatting to some friendly locals in the pub. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean and was all we needed for our fleeting visit. A limited breakfast was included in the price and the whole stay was great value for money.

A nights stay in beautiful Scotland! I travelled up from Edinburgh airport with ease and arrived in good time to this small town with all the essentials and the sun shining. What was good Very friendly welcome and breakfast experience was great! The room was very large and included and iron and ironing board. It was quiet during the night and slept well on the single bed. The room, bathroom, bed sheets were very clean. Heating was v good. What was bad Tv reception was poor and the wifi didn’t register on my device. I didn’t ask about fixing them. Got a take away from local pizza shop. Dreadful, it was like a frozen pizza from Lidl heated up but charged as if I lived in London. Summary Overall decent service for a reasonable price.
I recently stayed at the Red Lion for work purposes. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean, with a nice en-suite shower room. The breakfast provided had simple options and the fry up was done to perfection. The highlight of my stay were the staff, they are so friendly and helpful, it was an absolute pleasure staying there, and I highly recommend it. I will certainly be returning. Fochabers is a beautiful village and close to so many lovely places.

Last minute late at night on a terrible Thursday night in december. It was a long shot to try but why not. I was really surprised to find I could get a room and a very friendly welcome. Cant thank the manager enough great room, very spacious and clean. Great shower and a comfy bed. The bar was lively with friendly locals I will be back and would recommend if you are in the area.
