Lovely pub in the heart of the coziest village you will ever see. They had a fireplace going and all the nice Christmas decorations ready to lift you into the holiday spirit. The food was great and the service was good with kind waiters. The outside area had heaters and a lovely marquee to keep you warm and dry whilst you enjoy your mulled wine. Definitely would recommend going to this pub if your visiting the lovely Lacock village. It's like the cherry on the top of the most cute, cozy cake.
Cute little spot with shade outside in the summer. Food was delivered quickly and with a smile. Service is excellent. Would highly recommend. Husband said chicken baguette was slightly bland so 4 stars, only. My cheddar and chutney baguette was lovely!
Had a lovely 1 night stay here last week. It's a working pub, so was slightly noisy below our room in the morning but not intrusively so. However the staff were very polite, courteous, and professional, and was very pleasantly surprised to find we'd been given the room we requested on booking! Room was very cosy, comfortable, and warm - especially given the freezing weather we've had this week. Also the breakfast wasn't at stupid o'clock in the morning and was included in the booking price. Would definitely stay again.
Very welcoming and good staff but did keep calling us “guys”. Food was good quality but didn’t make me go wow! Crackling on the pork was disappointing with catering pack gravy and apple sauce. Chicken pie was good. A pleasant lunch in a nice setting.Service: 5/5
Christmas dinner tasted lovely. Thank you for making him his own little Christmas dinner too that was great Only thing I'd say is we had a 5 min warning to leave the table as you had another booking. This is something that maybe at the start you could have told us.
Splendid pub in a quaint little village. We went here for lunch and it was rather busy at the time but the staff were vigilant and polite. We sat outside under the canopy with heaters, where we ordered food and drink. Thought we would be waiting a while as it was so busy and apparently they were short staffed but we were amazed when our order came quicker than we would expect it to in any other pub at a quiet time! The fish and chips were the best we've had, definitely recommend. Thanks to everyone at The Red Lion for hosting us, we will return if ever in the area again.
Very high standard of quality as always when visiting. Been eating before never left dispointed at all. Always happy with a choice and quality of everything. Pleasant surprise with live music yesterday. We are from North Somerset but worth to drive even just for food experience. Thanks Nearby activities: Lacock Abbey and Lacock Church Food & drinks: Very high standard and great quality
The restaurant was nice, the food ok and the location is good but my experience was pretty bad. It took 45 minutes from the time I order to the time O received my food. Nobody informed me that there was going to be such a delay which would have been fine and I would have look for an alternative lunch option and I lost the opportunity to visit the Abbey since my time in Lacock was limited. We didn't received a single apologize.
Some of the nicest staff I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. Despite being rather busy, the staff were very accommodating, the food was amazing and the location is gorgeous, definitely a 10/10 recommend!Service: 5/5
Stayed here over the weekend in January for two nights. Room was nice and warm which was nice when it was -5 outside! Staff were attentive. The included breakfast was amazing!!! Would stay again definitely.
