First day back and what a fantastic pub it is! Great beers, friendly staff and even the trial run pie and chips were exactly what we needed, sat next to log the fire after a day in the cold. Will be back with friends and family, highly recommend!
Absolutely lovely. Welcoming host when we arrived. Happy and knowledgeable. Lovely front of housr. Happy, young waiter who knew his stuff on wines. Highly recommend this beautiful, village pub/restaurant.
We enjoyed our visit to The Red Fox, Penllyn. We booked a table for five of us for Sunday lunches on an October day. We were shown to a nice cozy corner by the log burning stove. The roast and veg. were cooked perfectly. Generous portions and plenty of gravy to go round. Puddings to die for too. The service was quick and polite. We stayed for 4 hours! A big THANK YOU to the staff and proprietors.
Traditional country pub with loads of atmosphere run by landlady George:. Well stocked bar with exceptional menu of pub favourites! Must mention Sunday Lunches where in addition to usual sit down menu they do a takeaway just ring before arrival with order turn up with plates and container for gravy time for a couple of pints and home with freshly cooked meals Recommend!
Whitebait and beer in the sun a couple of weeks back outside this pretty pub, what to complain about? The mammoth-portioned desserts from Sunday lunch looked frighteningly good.
Looks promising. Only popped in for a quick drink. The decor is lovely, fresh and comfortable. It is going to be a great addition to the area and I'm sure, a hive of activity during the warmer months.
Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff.
Very busy place with coaches on the Ring of Kerry. But everbody are smiling and helpfull and you feel welcome in the crowd. Pouring great Irish Coffees by the gallons.
Lovely place, that has its own charm! Tasty Sunday menu, very friendly and welcoming staff. Don't go past, as it is simply perfect as a cycling/hiking stop in a warm little village. Definately will come back again!
One side of pub clearly for eating only, other room despite being the only people in the pub 'reserved for locals'. So only option sofa in front of bar with large speaker blaring. No lager at all except one in a bottle.
