I came to Red Dog Music initially for this product as they offered an extra year warranty over their competitors. I requested online if they could delivery for a specific date, rather than their next day delivery, as I was only available on that date to receive the delivery. They got in contact with me next day, and I was ran through the process of the order via their online chat box hosted on their website. Their courier service is potentially the best the UK has to offer as you can live track the location of your parcel as the delivery person does their rounds throughout their day. My only request is that you allow customers to export the chat transcript!
My two buddies and I have nothing but praise for the staff at Red Dog Music in Leeds. Our experience started with them in their previous incarnation as 'Production Rooms', when we were looking at buying a Bose L1 model ll. They COULD NOT HAVE DONE MORE TO HELP. We bought the Bose from them and the after sales service has been brilliant. Even when we managed through our own fault to damage it, they were fantastic. We've been back to them for more stuff and have received the same high level of customer service from them EVERY time. Last week I was back in the store to buy to more stuff for our PA set up and to sort out a little issue with the Bose. STILL the same fantastic service. Whether on the telephone or face to face in store, everyone I have spoken with have been courteous, professional and friendly. Neither my two band mates nor I have a moment's hesitation in recommending Red Dog Music Production Rooms. They epitomise high quality customer service. Final comment: Recently my nephew and his mate went there to try out a Bose Compact. They got the same high quality service and the guys in the store were unaware of any connection to me or my buddies. Yes, they bought the Bose Compact.
I had an excellent experience with Red Dog Music. Upon entering the store I was offered coffer which was welcome as it had been a cold day. James, who assisted with my purchase, was very helpful and friendly and kept in regular contact with me regarding the guitar I was considering buying. I felt like I was offered a competitive price and was given the opportunity to try out my purchase after it arrived at the store, even though the shop was closing. I felt that the customer service was great from start to finish and the experience was akin to visiting a much smaller, independent shop. Thank you!
By far the best music retailer in Leeds. Been using this shop for ages, I buy all my pro audio and some guitar needs from here. Never had a single issue, all the staff are a great bunch of people and they may even offer you a brew! All they need is a drum department and then it would be perfect!
I was looking for a pair of "neutral" headphones and came across the AKG 702 as a prospective purchase. These were advertised on their website and at a competitive price. As they are local to me, it also meant I could have them as I wasn't waiting on delivery times etc. Called into the store and was greeted positively. I was also offered a cuppa. I mentioned what I was looking for. Unfortunately the 702's were not in stock but I was informed they could get them for me in two days. I asked what else was comparable and was shown the 701 version. Same specifications except fixed rather than detachable cable.not a problem for me. I took them and although a little more costly than the 702's, got them at the same price. I commented on this to be told "if someone is prepared to walk in off the street, we will do whatever we can to help meet their needs". Brilliant. Good old fashioned sensible approach to customer service. In closing - the headphones are ace. Even the wife likes them - and that's saying something. Excellent customer service with a genuinely friendly approach. Thanks chaps.
I have been wondering if I should even write this review but I just have to. I called up yesterday, interested in buying some gear and was spoken to like a child by a member of their staff. I may not be completely knowledgable on studio equipment but I do not wish to be spoken down to by someone or anyone for that matter. I asked for their name nearing the end of the call to have the response of 'what?' 'Who's this?' I had at that point refused to give my name. The member of staff that I spoke to was rude and from the information I was given on products I researched mostly wasn't even true. Do your staff work on a commission basis? Are they fighting for sales? Seems to be that way. I was told that there was better equipment than what I was looking for but when mentioning it was out of my price range I was told to 'save up because it's better' this is beyond acceptable. I had a £1000 - £1500 budget, that may not be much in your eyes but I worked hard to save that money. I shall be taking my business elsewhere. In summary - friendliest music store in Leeds?! I've come to doubt that. I hope whoever it was doesn't treat customers like this again.
Received excellent service from Red Dog Music on the couple times I've used them. Particularly pleased with my most recent purchase from them, the store kept me up-to-date with my order over email and answered my many questions about their products. Thanks Red Dog!
Lovely friendly atmosphere - none of those almost hostile pressure-selling types that you tend to find working at PMT. I was offered a cup of tea within seconds. I found that all the staff members who have dealt with me each time I have been to the store have had a lot of time to listen to me and help me, and make sure I got great service - which I did! The prices are competitive, especially as they will price match most other retailers, but the overriding selling point for Red Dog is how you're treated as a customer and a musician. Brilliant! I went to buy a microphone and amp from Red Dog Music in Leeds, I didn't have a clue what I needed and had great guidance and advice on what would be most suitable for my requirement. I got to try out the equipment, have it explained in way that I could understand and used it last weekend for the first time, it was fantastic!! I'll definitely be back again when I need add to my equipment Thank you Red Dog Music Leeds
