Been using Red Fort for over 20 years and always has been excellent, but recently they have been getting my order wrong everytime. 4 times in a row now they have missed an item or missed half of the order. Now waiting another hour on top of the hour and a half I’ve already waited for my original order to come. Just disappointed they used to get my order right everytime.
Got carry out last night was very poor, Pakora must have been reheated a few times before we got it, Ckicken tandoori was burnt black and very dry. Chasni sauce was very watery and tasteless, all in all very disappointing. Won't be using again.
Such a good place for a meal. Went tonight for a date with the fiancée. Would highly recommended it. Friendly staff. Try the South Indian garlic chilli if you get a chance.
Ordered veg pakora and tandoori chicken Pakora good Rice good Salad forgettable Chicken terrible.
Just ordered the chicken jolanda and I ordered the extra hot,, it was delicious, I should have just got the normal hot though as it was lava levels of hot!. But delicious, chicken nice and tender, rice properly cooked also and a large naan bread to boot , red Fort the best in town by far!!
We went to this restaurant this week. They had an offer of a meal deal for £9.95 posted in the front door so I decided to have that. When I tried to order it I was told that it was a pre-covid offer. Why do they leave a poster in the door for over 5 months if it isn't available? We then ordered from the main menu. I ordered the chicken patia and my partner ordered the chicken chasni. We also ordered rice and a naan bread. The portion of rice was small and served on a saucer for some reason. The main courses arrived and we were both surprised to find that there were only 6 cubes of chicken in each meal. The food tasted very nice but for £8.95 for the main course plus an additional £2.95 for rice it was certainly not value for money. Basically £11.90 for 6 cubes of chicken, a small portion of rice and loads of sauce. Staff were friendly and the place was clean.
Had an meal here tonight Curry was good, serving spoons scalding hot, rice was burnt. Worst was a creepy guy a member of staff sat and stared at my girlfriend anytime she left her seat. Was her that said to me felt very uncomfortable. Rest of staff were polite and professional but won't go back.
We went for my wifes birthday dinner. We were the only table in. It took around 15min to take our order then when we got our spiced onions and popadoms it took another 45min to get our next dish. Waitress kept saying were busy with take aways. First time experiening sitting in customers didn't take preference over deliverys. Stayed in Barrhead for 16 years first time going to this restaurant and will be the last. Our guest used this for take aways, there even now going to order else where after that experience. Felt we weren't given full service we deserved. Waitress was ok other staff were just rude.
My husband and I have eaten at, and from, this restaurant for over 20 years. The last few times the food hasn't been up to much, but I assumed possible staff changes, or the chef having an off day, caused the flavour deterioration. On Saturday night I tried to order something i ordered previously, and was told there were menu changes not sure when this took place so the item was no longer available. The pakora portion was vastly decreased in size, although price remained the same. Two of the three meals ordered were very poor, and the worst offence of all, was finding a piece of pot scourer wire, three fork fulls into my chicken biryani. I suppose it shows they scrub their cooking utensils, but sadly don't rinse sufficiently to protect me from literally gagging on my dinner. I don't know what's caused the drop in quality, but I won't be using them again, and would discourage anyone else to.
First visit tonight for an early dinner. Menus were very well laid out and easy to choose from. Very well taken care of by the owner and food was very good. The cheese and garlic nan was nice. Also had lamb butter masala which was excellent.
