Spotting the numerous awards online we stopped by and enjoyed some great sandwiches, cream tea and drinks. It has a lovely garden which would be great to sit in if it wasn't raining. The food and drink all came out in a timely manner and the staff were really friendly and helpful. You're not able to take dogs inside, but the garden has plenty of space. Pricing was good and everything was freshly made including the warm scones for the cream tea. Worth a visit!
A good Cornish destination. Super sandwich and rhubarb and ginger scone. Quaint and traditional. Personable service. South west coast path a 5 minute walk. Pretty garden setting. Dog friendly. Toilets.
Loved loved loved this tearoom and so glad I chose it for my mother's day treat whilst we were near. And to top it off the stunning walk just past it. We had the cream tea and my daughter had a huge cheese sandwich and lots of fruit and veg on the side. The service was excellent and the food was devine. We had to take it home as was too much for myself and my mother. The setting was truly wonderful and I would love to visit it again when down that way. Kid-friendliness: My daughter enjoyed it and they made her own food around our cream tea. When the plate was brought out the waitress asked I wanted her grapes cutting in half to which I replied please. Lots of families in there Parking: Parking was tricky for me and hard for my elderly mother to get out of the car as on a hill but that couldn't be helped Dietary restrictions: They provided soya milk for my mother when asked and also came back to check if she was okay with other parts on the cream tea. Which she was.
Lovely tea rooms situated near the costal path. The food was excellent and the owners were very friendly. Stayed in the attached holiday cottage which was clean great, would definitely stay again.
Cute place. Does vegan scones although I still wonder if they have egg in them as they said dairy free? nice to have vegan cream too. Friendly staff. Good portions of food.
We visited the Rectory Farm Tearoom in March 2022. Both me and my eldest girl are dairy free and after searching during a visit to Bude we found this little gem. We are always excited when we find somewhere that caters for our allergy...but unfortunately usually leave feeling disappointed non in stock, book in advance, only 1 choice etc. But we were definitely not left disappointed this time...from the minute we arrived the atmosphere was amazing, such a quaint old ie worldie setting...the drive was most definitely worth it and boy did my other half complain lol but even he admitted he would do it again after he lapped up the whole experience. When I asked the lovely ladies if they had any dairy free scones avalible for a cream tea they explained they didn't have a cream alternative but could do them with spread and jam... we jumped at the chance!! They went on to tell us about other sweet alternatives yes that's right, there was more than 1 choice ...we were spoilt for choice!! My other half had a traditional cream tea too and he loved it, the scones were freshly out of the oven and still warm...oh my gosh I'm salivating as I'm typing!! We also asked for a take away for later as we were so impressed they don't offer this in busy months. We highly recommend this place, and next time we are down that way we will be paying another visit...or 3!!
Very nice tearoom with very welcoming staff. Always there for you and taking their time for a little chat. The cream tea was very good and comforting. Not short of anything. We will be back for sure. The garden and tearoom are decorated very nicely.Food: 5/5
Lovely staff, great food with vegan options and beautiful location. Park up, have something to eat then go for a coastal walk. What's not to like!
Lovely tearoom in Morwenstow. Went there for lunch as I love their sandwiches they offer. I had cheddar and chutney in my gluten free sandwich. With a side of salad and my favourite homemade coleslaw and crisps. Afterwards we had a slice of cake too. I went with their gluten free homemade brownie. I was impressed as they had a couple of cakes which were GF. Highly recommend if you're a coeliac and looking for a place to eat. I would say that I would book a table in advance as it gets busy around lunch time.
There is a little place of perfection, hidden down a lane, it takes a while to get there but it’s the best decision you’ll ever make! Rectory Farm Tea Rooms is the idyllic Devon tea you have craved since someone suggested a holiday in the West Country. Perfection. Small cream tea for £6. Loved it…..
