Stopped here on a cycle trip. Excellent sandwich, and drinks are a good choice. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and more helpful. My water bottles were refilled and they even watched my bike while I went to the toilet. Thank you all so much. It was such a tonic to be so well welcomed and taken care of.
Fabulous Coffee & Walnut cake that was lightest I've had for a long time. Great tea in a proper pot that poured perfectly. And the staff, especially the lady with purple hair highlights, are friendly and offered Very Good service. Thanks ladies Parking: Free on Sunday after four, and the Really Rather Good tea shop still open till 5. Yippee!
Overall good experience. I went here for a couple of hot chocolates and was pleased with the flavour, speed, and service. Since it was raining outside, we sat inside by the counter. But it was quite sticky and dirty so, on second thoughts, it would have been better to take it to go.
It was really.......rather.......Great. Definitely up there as one of the best afternoon tea's I ever had. So cost effective and really worth the price. Not to mention completely delicious and amazing friendly service. Their dietary options are great and accommodate diverse groups.
We stopped here for lunch the day of the Bury Christmas Market, so it was very busy. Although we managed to find a seat easily, the staff couldn't cope with the volume of customers. Queue to order food/ drinks was long, it wasn't clear what items were off the menu until the head of the queue and so, after checking back with rest of party, it was necessary to queue again. It took another 25 mins to be served simple snacks and hot drinks. Not an enjoyable visit.
We discovered this place at the end of lockdown and we’ve visited every weekend since. Positive - the coffee! The beans are lovely. Negative - customer service. Getting ‘told!’ to wait outside in the rain and cold while they make your take out coffee is getting too much. It’s really put us off going back. My little boy has even stood shivering in the cold, while the shop front near the till had been empty - not as if they’re busy and need the extra space of people standing outside. There’s an equally good coffee shop with much better cake directly opposite and they are lovely and kind. This nonsense unfriendly policy is definitely driving us to go opposite!
I’ve been going to this cafe for years. It has always been my favourite spot in Bury. During my last visit, as I was drinking a cup of coffee, I found someone had spit a loogie into my coffee drink. I felt it in my mouth and spit it into my hand. I was so upset and grossed out I stood up and left right away. Later I wrote a respectful email to the cafe owners about what happened, but they never responded. It’s been over a month. I didn’t want to leave this bad review, but since they ignored what happened to me I felt I should warn others.
A cozy place to have breakfast in this small little town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Scones are delicious too. What a lovely day.
Friendly little cafe late afternoon but they were running out of menu choice for the day. Should be ok a bit earlier. Nice soup!Food: 4/5
Coffee house with very traditional snack menu. Disappointing Ploughman's served with sliced bread and small portion of cheddar and stilton.
