I would give this place 5 stars for the Lassi alone - best I’ve had outside of India. The butter chicken was also really good. Only thing that actually stops me from giving a 5/5 is the naan breads sort of dry and flaky and the price - I am not used to these sort of prices but maybe it’s normal I’m Dublin… either way, cannot fault the main dishes!
I ordered takeaway from this restaurant usually our office, but thought of driving all the way from Lucan to the restaurant and taste the food with my friends. As usual the food was unbelievable. This is the only restaurant I've found in Dublin that has authentic Indian food. The staff was very friendly and knew their food. Would highly recommend.
We tried Malai chicken, Hari chicken curry and lamb saag. Saag was tasty and the rest were to the average. IMPORTANT: you will have to order a minimum of 25 euros per person. The lady who was taking our order didn't even have the patience to listen to the list of the dishes I was trying to order, she interrupted me and said you will have to order the main course separately and per head it should be 25 euros. Definitely you will feel the bias in service between Indians and Irish. Indians will not be taken care of at all ! I had read the worse reviews complaining about the restaurant. I thought of checking how worse Indians can be treated in an Indian based restaurant
My friends and I had a fabulous dining experience in Ravis last week. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The owner took such time to talk us through the menu and we were so impressed that we let her order for us. We were not disappointed. The combination of vegetarian starters were just gorgeous and the lamb railway curry was my favourite. We plan to go back really soon
I had dinner with my friends & when I'm getting my seat while whole restaurant was empty waiter told me to ask before sit on table while it is fully empty. When I started ordering my food waiter was like we have cover of €25 per person & when I asked him about dishes he was like "everything was their on menu card". I do not recommend this restaurant. If you want to have a pint while eating they just pour cans so nothing of use. One thing to change for them is their service. Food is actually ok but service is worst. Try to change your waiter you will get more customers.
I asked for the hottest curry they had and I wasn't disappointed. The Lal Maans is sensationally good. It was so hot it hurt my feelings but I took comfort in the beautifully soft Naan bread and used it to sponge up every drop. The wine was excellent too and I loved the service, we had great banter with the lady looking after our table. She made fantastic recommendations too, ended up getting a starter I would never order, spiced paneer, it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
We have been visiting the place for some very special celebration a few times like birthdays, anniversary and with the office crowd as we work around the area some of the dishes we get to taste are personal favourites of our group. Like chaat papdi, samosa, dhania murgh, fiery spicy laal maans, dishes are well researched, spices are home pounded, chef owner is critically perfect in character and execution of well balanced meal never had a bad meal at ravis. Thanks guys keep it up.
I had dinner with friends here. It was the best Indian curries in Dublin. Kadhai planner was authentic. Aloo, onion kulchas were also authentic. It is underrated, I don’t understand why. Really going to come back.
You cannot force me to order a dish when I know I can share it with my partner. That’s not how you run a business. And if you do so then u get a poor rating!!! Pathetic experience indeed. I wonder how you guys are getting positive feedback. I reckon it’s paid reviews. You have zero knowledge of customer experience. Please shut the restaurant if you can’t operate. It’s sad to see Indians being embarrassed to this extent Thanks for replying after 2 years!! Now this can finally be used as an evidence in the court. DO NOT DELETE YOUR REPLY. As per the Defamation act 1961, my lawyer will be sending you a notice. Please keep an eye on your post. I can pay for your travel to the court. As my profession pays me well. I also understand some kitchens need support. See you soon
It's been a while since I have been here! Still the best curry for a long way around. Ravi's personal touch will not disappoint All the food is authentic and lovingly prepared as well as cooked by the master. Front of house will surprise with the depth of knowledge and recommendation. In all my years I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed or not enjoyed this little slice off heaven
