Nice station with plenty of space, big platforms and a very large entrance hall with beautiful ceilings and mouldings that are likely original.nnThere’s large facilities for all and despite the fact the men’s toilets were not that clean, they were clean enough and empty / not busy.nnThere is a lift for all platforms, or stairs to the underground tunnel that reaches each platform.nnIt’s only a 15 minute walk into the town centre or there is the regular loop bus available by Stagecoach.
Quite a spacious station with a vintage feel.
Terrible facilities. No gents toilets open. Vending machines not filled. No staff. Really bad
When this station is staffed is a 5 star.nBut when I mostly use it it is not and we are left with a single ticket machine, no toilets and no assistance if you need advice.nThey have now open another station five minutes away which appears ghostly. Good knows what they are trying to do.
Its a beautiful old station with a glorious ticket hall
