Great stretch of sand for walking, running and doggy walks Oct to March only. Check tide times so you can arrive at low tide to best enjoy the whole length of the beach, through to Broadstairs even, before the tide comes back in.
For our long weekend, Ramsgate Beach was the ideal retreat! The beach itself was serene and soothing, and the weather was fantastic. Because it wasn't too crowded, taking in the view and the soft waves was simple. Additionally, the best Wetherspoons is located directly on the beach, making it the perfect place to start your morning and eat breakfast. We had never been here before! We adored Ramsgate in every way. We strolled along the shore for a while.
Beautiful beach near the town centre with golden sand and great waves.nIt's easy to stay relaxed for a few hours walking and sunbathing watching people around and children playing.nLots of restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops nearby.
Drive from London took close to three hours on a bank holiday. We were lucky with the weather, nice breeze, sun was shining which made the water sparkle. Public toilets close by, working taps with soap available. There was someone cleaning the space too which was nice.
A long stretch of a sandy beach that is dog friendly and runs along a pedestrian pathway. The beach starts next to the UK Royal Marina, the largest weatherspoons in the UK, and features the Ramsgate Tunnels along the route. Also nearby is the amusement arcade, pubs, fish & chip shop, and restaurants. There are also public toilets on the walk.
